For this list, a mix of production and playoff success was weighed more than just being the “best prospect”. And while the net was cast far and wide over the last week, including research that unveiled a few names, there’s probably still some holes. Especially from the small town ranks. But it’s still a detailed list that captures the high end production from the talented guards and includes names from all over Oklahoma.
All Freshmen 1st Team:
Kaleb Blackwolf Kaleb Blackwolf 6'1" | SG El Reno | 2027 OK , 6’1 Guard, El Reno: A strong athlete, with a toughness and feel beyond his years. Blackwolf was a super productive and consistent freshman in one of the toughest districts in 5A, with averages of 14.8 points and 5.3 rebounds.
Daniel Creepingbear Daniel Creepingbear 6'0" | CG Riverside Indian School | 2027 State OK , 6’0 Guard, Riverside Indian School: One of the most productive freshmen in the state, the do it all guard filled the stat sheet to the tune of 15.1 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Memphis Duffie Memphis Duffie 6'0" | PG Cascia Hall | 2027 State OK , 6’0 Guard, Cascia Hall: A sharpshooter from three, Duffie exploded from deep in a Class 3A quarterfinals win. He was consistent all season long with a full stat line of 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Greydon Howell Greydon Howell 5'10" | PG Broken Bow | 2027 State OK , 5’10 Guard, Broken Bow: The Southeastern Oklahoma standout had one of the best freshman seasons in recent memory with eye popping numbers of 25.9 points and 7.8 assists. He’s quick and tough off the bounce, with gamechanging ability as an off the dribble scorer.
Dallas Lowe Dallas Lowe 6'0" | SG Cascia Hall | 2027 State OK , 6’0 Guard, Cascia Hill: Another of the guard headliners in the class, Lowe is a walking bucket for a Cascia Hall team that reached the Class 3A semifinals. He averaged 14 a game while also grabbing 5 boards a game.
Gene Mason Gene Mason 6'4" | CG Victory Christian | 2027 State OK , 6’4 Guard, Victory Christian: One of the higher upside players in the class, the big guard has lead guard capabilities and he handed out 3.6 assists a game. While also having flashes as a scorer for the Class 3A semifinalists Conquerors.
Jacques Mitchell Jacques Mitchell 6'1" | CG Booker T. Washington | 2027 State OK , 6’0 Guard, Booker T Washington: A physical and athletically gifted guard, “Joc” supercharged Booker T Washington in the second half of the season. The Hornets finished runner ups in 5A. He posted a full stat line of 12.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists.
Tyson Pogi Tyson Pogi 5'11" | PG Mustang | 2027 State OK , 5’11 Guard, Mustang : A skilled lead guard with outstanding feel, Pogi was a rare freshman to hit the ground running in Class 6A. He filled it up with 15.6 points, with an impressive 42% mark from 3, while also handing out 3.7 assists
Za’Brien Shelburn, 6’1 Guard, Wilson: The small town freshman sensation put the state on notice by leading Wilson to the Class B State Title, with three huge games at the Big House.
TJ Williams TJ Williams 6'5" | SF Heritage Hall | 2027 OK , 6’5 Wing, Heritage Hall: Williams made an impact all year with the Chargers thanks to his size, as an impact player around the rim on both ends of the court. Also a promising baseball prospect, Williams has the athletic profile and upside to turn into a wing prospect.
All Freshmen 2nd Team:
Josiah Ankrah Josiah Ankrah 6'2" | CG Southmoore | 2027 State OK , 6’1 Guard, Southmoore: A promising off the dribble scorer and decision maker, Ankrah came on strong to close the year with great performances against Class 6A competition.
Branden Crosslen Branden Crosslen 6'2" | SF Rogers | 2027 State OK , 6’3 Wing, Rogers: Crosslen was a productive wing, who played big around the hoop for a young Rogers squad with averages of 10 points and 7 rebounds a game.
Jordan Denson Jordan Denson 6'0" | SF Chandler | 2027 State OK , 6’1 Guard, Chandler: An athletic small town prospect, Denson recorded highlight reel worth dunks and athletic moves on his way to a productive year in Class 3A. While averaging 19.9 points and 7.2 rebounds a game.
Miles Jackson Miles Jackson 6'4" | SF Putnam City | 2027 State OK , 6’4 Wing, Putnam City: The high upside Jackson started to flash more of his potential as the season progressed with the Pirates.
Edan Litherland Edan Litherland 6'2" | PG Shawnee | 2027 State OK , 6’2 Guard, Shawnee: The freshman played in one of the tougher districts in 5A, with some of his better performances coming against the better teams in that district. On the year, he averaged 10 points and 4.2 rebounds a game.
Jace Parker Jace Parker 6'0" | PG Muskogee | 2027 State OK , 6’0 Guard, Muskogee: Parker was a contributor in 6A, putting up 9.4 points and 4.2 rebounds a game. He really shined from beyond the arc, shooting 41% from three.
Brody Scott Brody Scott 5'9" | PG Fort Gibson | 2027 State OK , 5’10 Guard, Fort Gibson: A crafty lead guard, Scott was productive in a pair of viewings for Fort Gibson. He’s tricky with the ball in his hands, as a scorer and a passer.
Zion Shelburn Zion Shelburn 5'9" | CG Wilson | 2027 OK , 5’9 Guard, Wilson: Joining his twin brother as a State Champion in Class B, Shelburn averaged 15 a game for the Class B champs.
Carlton Summers III Carlton Summers III 5'11" | PG Dickson | 2027 State OK , 5’11 Guard Dickson: A heady lead guard, Summers III stuffed the stat sheet all year long with averages of 14 points, 3 assists and 3 steals.
Dkarrion Titsworth Dkarrion Titsworth 5'10" | PG Rogers | 2027 State OK , 5’11 Guard, Rogers: Another key piece of Rogers’ youth movement. The freshman has big time potential as on the ball scorer and shooter. He averaged 10 points a game with 2.3 steals as well.
All Freshmen 3rd Team:
Braelon Bradshaw Braelon Bradshaw 6'4" | PF Millwood | 2027 OK , 6’4 Forward, Millwood: The versatile youngster steadily earned more minutes throughout the season for the Class 3A runner up Falcons.
Ryker Buckley Ryker Buckley 5'10" | PG Kellyville | 2027 State OK , 5’10 Guard, Kellyville: A double digit scorer for a Ponies team that made a run to the Big House, as a 3A State Tournament team.
Landon Eubank Landon Eubank 5'10" | CG Dickson | 2027 OK , 5’10 Guard, Dickson: The freshman earned all conference honors from the Lake Country Conference, and is part of an exciting freshman group for the Comets.
Aiden Hooper Aiden Hooper 5'11" | SG Keys | 2027 OK , 5’11 Guard, Keys: An eastern Oklahoma scorer, Hooper had huge scoring games as a freshman. Including 40 and 36 point outbursts.
Aaron Hill Aaron Hill 6'5" | PF Leedey | 2027 OK , 6’6 Forward, Leedey: Hill, a blue collar big around the rim, averaged 14 a game for a Leedey squad that reached the Class B semifinals.
Nate Lyon Nate Lyon 6'2" | PG Jenks | 2027 State OK , 6’2 Guard, Jenks: Following a mid-season injury, Lyon was another freshman who peaked down the stretch. The sharpshooter hit big shots during a Trojans run to Area in Class 6A.
Brody Parks Brody Parks 6'2" | SG Bishop McGuinness | 2027 State OK , 6’2 Guard, Bishop McGuinness – The sharpshooter had multiple games where he caught fire from distance, including a 7 three pointer performance vs Ardmore.
DeAndre Rhodes Jr, 6’5 Wing, Edison: After starting the year looking like a post prospect, Rhodes flashed his perimeter upside as a quality shooter during Edison’s run to the Class 5A State Tournament.
Brandon Smith, 5’11 Guard, McAlester: A productive lead guard for the Buffaloes, he often reached double figures scoring with some burst in transition and deep shooting.
Mekhi Thomas Mekhi Thomas 6'0" | PG Putnam City North | 2027 State OK , 6’0 Guard, Putnam City North: After starting the year as a floor spacer, the promising youngster finished the year strong during a playoff run that saw him show off more of his on the ball skills as a decision maker.
