Draws some parallels in athleticism and playing style to Corey Gordon, who was a basketball standout before turning into a playmaking DB for Baylor in football.

A dual sport standout, Osborne is one of the premier athletes in Oklahoma’s Class of 2027. On Friday night his explosiveness erased shots and picked off passes on defense. While also having acrobatic and powerful finishing ability around the rim. He has the build and movements of a D1 safety, so it’s very possible football is his future. But while on the basketball court, he’s a must watch as a ballhawking defender and highlight reel worthy finisher at the rim.

Gabe is a gifted athlete with a unique skillset, a utility player that will guard 1-4 and scores tough buckets inside. He can be an asset on both ends of the court with his ability to read the floor. He has a great sense of positioning and looks for ways to catch defenders lacking when the ball is far side. Adept at finding steals in the passing lane and can really get some air under him to dunk the ball acrobatically. Doesn’t mind playing the cleanup role scoring second chance points using his long arms and speed. More of a dribble drive type player than a pure passer but gets the job done when needed. He scored in bunches in all 4 games averaging 17 points and 8 rebounds.

Just like Robinson above, Osborn is another of the better athletes in the Class of 2027. He turned it on especially in transition, with highlight reel slams and finishes. The youngster is also a football standout, which definitely translated in how he approached the defensive end. He has DB instincts in passing lanes, while also not being afraid to use his strength to get physical. Two sport stars of Osborn’s build and athletic ability tend to lean football longterm, but he’s still a big time athlete who deserves monitoring in hoops.

The third freshman to get the start for the Pirates, he was the most productive of the trio. Osborne lived at the rim where he was an efficient finisher. He can already shift his pace and body control well to avoid defenders. With his barrel chested frame, the freshman should be a freight train like slasher when he matures.
