Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Hoops Scout
Younger has stepped up into a bigger role for a Moore team that replaced a lot of production. Dangerous off the bounce, with crafty finishing at the rim. Or stopping and hitting teammates for open threes. Has a solid mid-range game and hits enough threes to keep the defense honest. Displays some competitiveness with the way he attacks on defense to force turnovers. And a willingness to muscle up and battle against taller players. Good sophomore size as a building block that could potentially set him up to be among the better guards in the state next year.

Younger is expected to be a key part of a new look but talented Lions squad. Shifty guard, who can make the defense pay if they pick him up full court. Effective scorer from 15 feet and in. Stop and pops in the mid-range, floaters and going all the way to the rim with his quickness and good lift. The scrimmage clips are good signs that Younger will be ready to contribute sooner rather than later.

Younger plays like every rep matters, sprinting back in transition, and talking on both ends. Offensively, he’s a developing combo guard who’s starting to find his rhythm as a creator. The motor is already there, so the next step is deciding to match the tempo he plays with.
