Having grown into his lanky body more, Parks now looks even more the part of a collegiate sharpshooter. That was evident in the game watch backed against an athletic MoKan 16U team. He plays stronger and more fluid. Complete with deeper range. In that contest he had a couple impressive deeper makes. Including one where he pumped fake, took a couple dribbles to relocate and still made it look easy with a swish.

Parks earned All District honors in 5A and averaged 15 a game as a junior. Had some huge games, including a 6 three pointer, 23 point performance against 3A State Tournament team, Heritage Hall. In that game he made it look easy with effortless threes often from a step or two beyond the line. Liked the movement shooting ability he showed as the passer, then cut to the corner and got his shot up in one smooth motion on a baseline out of bounds three. Added strength and a little more height over the last six months, which has shown up as a rebounder. Hitting threes and being scrappy on the glass is often a ticket to the next level opportunities.

One of the top shooters in Oklahoma’s junior class, he’s knocking off the football rust after being part of McGuinness’ runner up squad on Gridiron. Looks to have benefited from football weight room with some of the bumps he’s able to take on drives. Also impressive is some of the blocks he’s skied for. Remains a big time weapon from beyond the arc. Eager to see how he does after Christmas break, when the rust of football has been fully shaken off.

While still showing signs of youth, Parks appears to be turning into a more well rounded scoring threat. The sophomore is at his best as a floor spacing sharpshooter. But is now more comfortable attacking off the dribble and showing signs of developing an all around game. Has a good upperclassmen example in teammate Bradley of going from a shooting specialist to a complete scorer. Looked best movement wise in opening game against Santa Fe. Had multiple moves in transition with good finishing and body control.

One of the top shooters in the Class of 2027, now standing a legit 6 foot 3 and starting to move like an upperclassman. The growth spurt and physical maturity appear to give him more confidence with the ball. Along with defending during defensive drills. Excited to see how it translates for a McGuinness squad that has strong upperclassmen group but should have room for Park’s role to grow from catch and shoot specialist into a complete scoring threat.

Parks is another spot up specialist, who impressed in his consistency from three during two viewings earlier this month at the McGuinness Classic. Already over six foot, it looks like he could eventually have the size needed to be an off the ball guard. Especially with the way he sets up and hunts for shots when off the ball. His defense will need to improve, but he was an eager and enthusiastic defender during those two games, which is a good longterm sign as he gains experience and physical maturity.
