Crosslen was a monster for the Hornets. A walking mismatch against a very talented Texas team. Consistently put in spots to dominant from around 15 feet and in. Catching extended post ups and smoothly draining turnaround jumpers. If fronted, he sealed and then athletically scored at the rim. Got it going around the elbow too. The high upside wing continues to make strides and adds an extra dimension to the Hornets as they aim to go back to back in 5A.

The biggest key to Crosslen’s evolution into one of the top prospects in the Class of 2027 was adding a consistent jumper. It was only one day, but Crosslen was dialed in for Booker T Washington. His shot looked smooth and he was even dribbling into and draining jumpers. Including a scrimmage winning 18 footer in BTW’s win against Crossings. If he keeps shooting like he did Saturday, his next level size and athleticism for a wing will make a priority for D1 programs next spring.

Branden is quickly establishing himself as one of the top wings in Oklahoma’s 2027 class, steadily climbing the recruiting rankings. At 6’4″ with a plus wingspan, Crosslen brings a versatile skill set and high-level athleticism to both ends of the floor. In transition, he thrives — pushing the pace, reading the floor, and finishing strong at the rim. His natural feel for the game and fluid athleticism help him generate easy scoring opportunities for himself and teammates. He’s also shown continued growth as a perimeter shooter, connecting on three-pointers at a high rate and expanding his offensive impact. Defensively, Crosslen is a force — using his length and timing to contest shots, block attempts at the rim, and protect the paint. His motor and instincts make him a disruptor in help-side and transition defense alike.

The still developing Crosslen is often an energy guy at the national levels. Which his long wingspan, good athleticism and approving motor has helped him rise to occasion as a versatile defender through a spring and summer of national play. There are also flashes of the player he can become. Including a strong shooting performance in a win last week. He’s improving as a spot up threat from three. And even drilled a next level looking mid-range turnaround jumper. Look for the high upside Crosslen to continue to ascend with his new high school program, Booker T Washington, this winter.

Long arm wing prospect, who has one of the higher upsides in the class. Very strong high school season, has led way to a spring against national competition. His play in those events was up and down. The flashes of improved shooting and high energy moemnts are promising. But he’s not consistent in that production yet. Crosslen is the type of prospect who as long he keeps working, will keep looking different after every six month period. Because while he didn’t hit high school as as highly touted resume as some other top prospects, the long term potential is very much there.

Crosslen is the type of prospect who likely will be unrecognizable in 6 months. Right now he’s a huge wingspan, bouncy prospect and does a lot of his damage as a garbage man around the rim. Very competitive and strong rebounder. The signs are there for him to become a high flying, above the rim finisher. And he has the ability to become a consistent three point shooter, giving him the potential to be a “3 and D” wing prospect as his floor. His offensive ceiling is higher though, with the flashes he’s showing off the dribble. His handle and pace need to become smoother, but the upside is there for him to mature into a complete offensive threat.

One of the more electric athletes in Oklahoma’s sophomore class. He had a slower start against a solid Holland Hall squad, but finished with a flourish to help secure a double digit victory. It started with an athletic and tough “And 1” finish. Had great hang time to get off the shot even while being fouled. Love his current mindset of willing to do the dirty work as a rebounder and even post up on offense. Has a great motor and base to build on. Evidence of his growth into even more of a perimeter threat came when he secured a defensive board, pushed it and drained a 15 footer. High ceiling prospect, who made waves as a freshman and now making an even bigger splash as a sophomore.
