Chaves is a great combo of athleticism and motor. One second he’ll be seen battling for for a putback. The next, with a chase down block. Offensively he’s a vertical threat around the rim and can attack open gaps with quick and athletic drives. He had a very productive junior season taking multiple steps forward. In this game, he went for 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. While there are raw aspects to his game; his combination of production, motor and athleticism are usually good traits to bet on long term.

Chaves is really starting to come into his own as an athletic and electric prospect. Plays much bigger than his size thanks to his ability to quickly get off the floor. Especially with his plus wingspan. While still most effective as an energy, transition runner and off the ball cutter, he does look to be improving skill wise. Capable shooter and can put it on the floor as a driver. Given the talented guards that he’s playing with, his above the rim ability could make him one of the most exciting players to watch in Oklahoma.

A high flying, twitchy athlete. Finishes like a taller player with the way he explodes off the ground for dunks and acrobatic finishes. Is improving his ball handling, could develop into a dynamic slashing wing. Is likely a versatile defensive weapon for the Sabercats this year. As he’s quick and agile enough to make life miserable for opposing guards. While his aforementioned physical traits will allow to protect the rim and battle with forwards.

Bouncy forward that is fitting into and staring in a role. Connected on a pair of big corner threes during a second half rally. A consistent jumper would be a great sign of the evolution to his game. Gets great elevation on rebounds and contesting shots, will surely turn into a high flying lob threat with the guards Southmoore has.
