Expert Analysis
Philip Gray | Prep Hoops Scout
Super long athletic combo Point/Center with handles. Plays big when you need him to and can cover at point guard as well. Handles are still a bit raw, but it’s still better than most small guards at the tournament. Can shoot well, and I can see him getting good at that part of his game. Miles is a strong rim protector also, and can potentially be dangerous in any zone on offense once he starts to recognize what the other team is running. Miles is one of the team leaders for the supremely talented Houston Hoops Oklahoma AAU Squad. He is gifted athletically, has some quickness to go with his speed and jumping ability.

Now every bit of 6 foot 6, with the athleticism to match. Jackson was a terror from the jump. Living at the rim, either drawing fouls. Or punching it home with authority when given a clear path. Shot it well off the dribble too. An interesting wrinkle to his game is that he looks to be improving as a passer. Had some wild passes at times, but still good signs that he’s looking to make those passes. Just needs more reps and to work on his accuracy/decision making.
Potential and production are starting to meet for Jackson, making him a very exciting prospect over the next two seasons.

Jackson is having a big spring and it’s no surprise after a close look over the weekend. He’s starting to become stronger and more fluid in his movements. Covers ground well with his longs with nimble movements when slashing to the rim. And is finishing better through contact when drawing fouls. Is comfortable as a pull up shooter in the mid-range or three. Given his skillset and size, Jackson has the chance to be a rare translatable 3 level scorer to college. Clearly is growing into his body, and is starting to translate more and more of his potential into production.

Throughout the contest, Jackson was a constant floor spacing threat and hit big three pointers. He combined the scoring punch with an improved mindset on the defensive end. Where he used his long wingspan and athleticism to help rebound, alter shots, while also being versatile enough to switch out onto guards and cause havoc on the perimeter. Very promising start to his sophomore season as a “3 and D” impact player.

had one of the best showings at The Expo on his way to being selected for The Signature 6. He dominated while on offense due to his three-level scoring ability which was headlined by his lethal free-throw line pull-up. Jackson is a lengthy wing who uses his long strides to cut through defenses. He also was able to make an impact on defense by clamping up and grabbing rebounds through contact.

Jackson is blessed with the unique gifts of size and athleticism to be a natural wing. After a smaller role as a freshman, there’s opportunity for a big time growth at Putnam City under their new head coach. Saturday brought a glimpse of the multitude of ways that a locked in Jackson can impact the game. There’s big time potential as a transition monster on both ends of the court. From slams to chase down blocks. Meanwhile in the halfcourt, he was consistent in getting to his spots in the mid-range, where his size made it easy for him to elevate and get off shots. There’s a lot of tools in Jackson’s bag, and the sky is the limit.

is one of the more complete SF prospects in Oklahoma’s 2027 class. He uses his length and athleticism to impact the game on each end of the court consistently. The Expo will present a great opportunity for Jackson to solidify his spot as one of the most intriguing wings in the state.

stood out as not only one of the top prospects at this event, but as one of the top prospects in all of Oklahoma. He has grown over an inch since this past season and still has very impressive guard skills. On defense, Miles has quick feet and active hands that caused many problems for opponents and resulted in several steals and blocked shots. Miles was able to overwhelm on traps and in passing lanes to wreak havoc throughout the weekend. Offensively, Miles finished around the rim consistently, but I was most impressed with his ability to knock down tough midrange shots. Pulling up off the dribble seemed almost too easy for Miles and was consistently able to knock down jumpers over the outstretched arms of defenders. Being able to create looks for himself off the dribble at his size bodes extremely well for his upside and I would not be shocked at all to see him make another leap in his game over the next few months.

The lanky freshman wing prospect was impressive with the poise he played with on the offensive end. He knocked down open shots and flashed the ability to be a dynamic slasher. An added bonus was a handful of nice passes and assists he handed out drives. There was one pocket pass in particular that was a combination of great vision and unselfishness. Jackson has big time natural tools and an intriguing skillset as a scorer, and his first varsity start could be the sign of a huge calendar year for Jackson.
