His ability to dictate the pace when dribbling and play under control helps make up for not being the quickest or fastest player. Will be interesting to see how his body fills out strength wise, as he has a solid frame.

Lyon is developing quite the bag to compliment his sniping ability. Has a signature stepback from deep. Which he has made more sudden and violent as he’s matured, creating more space for his jumper. After opponents overplay him to prevent threes, he’s capable of taking them to the mid-range. Where he’s a tough shot maker, with outstanding body control and focus. Does good work off the ball too, which should help hit the floor faster at the next level. With improvements on defense and as a passer, Lyon is quickly becoming a complete guard.

Nate is a top-10 prospect in the state of Oklahoma, holding multiple Division I offers. His game is unique and versatile — capable of initiating offense off the dribble or playing off the ball, using movement and screens to consistently test defenses. Lyon boasts a deep shooting arsenal, thriving especially in dribble handoffs and quick-pitch actions. He’s highly skilled at adjusting his body mid-air, knocking down shots from a variety of angles and platforms. His shooting mechanics and balance make him a constant threat in motion. As a driver, Lyon shows exceptional patience. He maintains one-on-one advantages with smart body control, scanning the floor for quick skips or drop-offs to teammates. His vision and decision-making add value in both transition and half-court settings. Defensively, he excels at containing ball handlers — giving up ground strategically to cut off angles and wall up at the rim. His discipline and timing make it tough for opponents to get clean looks around the basket.

Sharpshooter who torched the net in a signature win earlier this month at the Oklahoma Clash. Started to show off more to his game, including hitting tougher pull ups off the dribble. This includes mid-range and pulling from DEEP anytime the defense gives him space within 25 feet or so. Doesn’t need much seperation to get his shot off, while still maintaining deadeye accuracy even when contested. Has made a good jump to his athleticism and strength.
