Wilson is proving to be a stat sheet stuff with LEGYNDs’ EYCL squad. Finished Kansas City on a high note a scorer, while also consistently getting on the glass, playing tough defense and handing out assists. Has the feel of an ultimate team first glue guy, which should appeal to college coaches. But don’t sleep on his ability to get buckets as the focal point of a new look Owasso squad. In fact, it might do him some good to be more assertive as a scorer.

Wilson is a steady player. Slots in naturally as a floor spacing threat, who is also willing to compete and defend. That led to a key role this past season on one of the better teams in Oklahoma. And is setting the table for a similar set up with LEGYND’s EYCL team, that will compete in national events. While it’s a good sign of a team first nature that he embraces such a role.
Watching how he moves and operates in person, it is clear has the ceiling to be more. Has a plus wingspan which could allow him to play bigger than his height. Especially when factoring in he has next level athleticism with quickness and twitchiness that could potentially separate him from similar size guards. The table is set for Wilson to become a 18-22 point a game scorer next season as the 6A level. Then continue to ascend in college.

The junior year is always pivotal for prospects. It’s usually a timeframe when players start to mature physically. Leading to their games changing as they become stronger and more athletic. Which is one one hundred percent the case for Wilson. He’s had a rep as a sharpshooter since his freshman year, but he was on the smaller side. Especially compared to his older brothers. But that’s where patience is key.
This year, Wilson hit a growth spurt and he’s staring to fill out. He’s now more of a dynamic player off the dribble. Complete with improved hangtime and acrobatically finishing at the rim. All while retaining top tier shooting abilities.
Owasso’s senior class is an highly decorated group. But it could be the development of Wilson that helps put them over the top in Class 6A. Which, staring in his role on a State Championship team would start to open doors at the collegiate level.

As a sophomore, Wilson was a sharpshooter off the bench for a loaded Owasso team. Now as a junior with his physical maturation, he will have the opportunity to have a bigger and important role for the 6A title contenders. And he looks ready for that based on June team camp play. Quicker and more fluid with his handles and attacking ability. Good body control on drives. His shooting will once again be vital for the Owasso seniors, but helping out with ball handling responsibilities will be big for the Rams to reach their high high ceiling.

was one of the most impressive guards at The Expo. He ran the show with a tight handle and consistently made good playmaking decisions. He excelled at getting the ball into the lane before kicking to open teammates. Wilson also shot the ball well from deep whether those looks came off the dribble or on catch-and-shoot looks.

Steady shooting from distance helped the freshman guard earn minutes on a 5A State Tournament team. That’s still apparent this grassroots seasons with the way he knocks down triples. But at the recent MadeHoops event in Norman, he’s starting to show more comfort in putting it on the floor. Especially as a creator for his teammates. Playing at the 15U level and developing his game should bear fruit to a strong sophomore campaign next winter.
