Sam Duren | Prep Hoops Scout
After a high school career plagued by literal growing pains and injuries, Milton looked healthy and strong as the previews. Was trusted and capable of handling the pressure against one of the best defensive guard teams in Oklahoma. Able to get paint touches to score himself or stop on two feet and make smart passes. Always has known how to play, especially coming from a basketball family with two siblings who were among two of the best to ever play at Owasso. Look for the youngest Milton to make up for lost time as a difference maker on the 6A contending Rams.

It’s no surprise that young Milton looks well drilled and fundamentally sound, considering his brother Shake was a two time Gatorade Player of the Year at Owasso (currently with the 76ers) and his sister Terryn helped Owasso to the 2018 6A State Title. When watching him over the summer and even now, it’s clear he has a tight handle along with great fundamentals when it comes to ball fakes and court vision. He’s on the smaller side now, but made the most of a first half opportunity. During a quick stretch today, he grabbed his own long miss and fired a smart pass for an assist. Then drained a three of his own. Milton is in the tough spot of having the foundational framework to make an impact from a skill standpoint but patience is required as his physical growth catches up.
