About Boden
Expert Analysis
Garry Siehndel | Prep Hoops Scout
Williams can do it all as both a scorer and facilitator. On senior night this season, he broke the Owasso assist record with 17 helpers. Boden had multiple games with triple-doubles this season and showed continued growth in his overall game. The Oral Roberts signee excels in the mid-range and is an efficient scorer with a quick release.

helped his team advance to the semifinals with 15 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Boden is one of the more polished scorers in the state, scoring the ball with precision. Williams has one of the better mid-range games in the state, something you don’t see much of today. The ORU commit continues to prove why he belongs on the Division I stage. Boden is one of the best players in the state tournament, and he will be a big piece for the Rams as they try to take down Norman in the semifinals.

Since scrimmage season, Williams’ senior season has been defined by his improved confidence as a scorer. He got the Rams going with impressive off the dribble shot making. Hitting from deep and the mid-range. While he cooled off after the good start, he stayed his steady and poised self on defense. And bringing the winning experience that comes with being a four year starter.

Usually the tag “most improved player” goes to a youngster, or a maybe a senior who is a first time starter. Williams is one of the most experienced players in the state and has always been good. But based on the month of November, he’s going to close out his high school career in the class of great. It’s a testament to his hard work. Along with a renewed spirit and swagger.
Have watched Williams at a few different scrimmages and there were times even with multiple other future D1 player on the court that Williams looked the best. He’s shooting the ball from deeper and with more confidence. While starting to putting on the college ready good weight needed to be a tough defender and a more explosive finisher at the rim. Making the jump from good to great is never easy. It sure looks like this Ram has it in him to be great night in and night out this winter.

Williams will be a four year starter and helped Owasso to their first State Championship as a sophomore. But he’s not resting on his past accomplishments. He’s been LOCKED IN for two different scrimmages this month. This time it was particularly impressive as he was draining threes from the volleyball line. If that’s the type of range, and improved swagger he’s going to play with, Owasso will have a strong chance to avenge their 6A quarterfinals loss last year. And Oral Roberts will have signed an absolute steal.

Williams has started since his freshman year at 6A Owasso. And as a sophomore, he helped delivered the Rams their first State Championship in school history. He’s a hard nosed player, who likely will slot in initially at the next level as a “3 and D” type guard. Especially as he’s continued growing, and now is pushing 6’4 with a plus wingspan. Giving him good potential to be a switchable defender at the next level. A more aggressive senior season for the hard working guard will have the Rams chasing for Gold once again.

Williams has all the tools and experience against top tier competition to be a successful college guard. Long wingspan, bursts of developing next level athleticism give him the potential to start off as a “3 and D” type contributor. Still needs to play to his size and athletic ability more, especially when exploding to finish around the rim. Has flashes of a more developed scoring game, with floaters and mid-range. But on his loaded high school squad, often is slotted in more as a floor spacer, who can help run the offense too. Tricky evaluation because the traits are all there for next level success, but the consistent production hasn’t matched his peers.
