Impact guard played was the biggest theme among this year's freshman class, with some the headliners logging big minutes on teams that made State Tournament runs.

For this list, a mix of production and playoff success was weighed more than just being the "best prospect". And while the net was cast far and wide over the last week, including research that unveiled a few names, there's probably still some holes. Especially from the small town ranks. But it's still a detailed list that captures the high end production from the talented guards and includes names from all over Oklahoma.

All Freshmen 1st Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='2332743' first='Kaleb' last='Blackwolf'], 6'1 Guard, El Reno: A strong athlete, with a toughness and feel beyond his years. Blackwolf was a super productive and consistent freshman in one of the toughest districts in 5A, with averages of 14.8 points and 5.3 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2327618' first='Daniel' last='Creepingbear'], 6'0 Guard, Riverside Indian School: One of the most productive freshmen in the state, the do it all guard filled the stat sheet to the tune of 15.1 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323191' first='Memphis' last='Duffie'], 6'0 Guard, Cascia Hall: A sharpshooter from three, Duffie exploded from deep in a Class 3A quarterfinals win. He was consistent all season long with a full stat line of 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140743' first='Greydon' last='Howell'], 5'10 Guard, Broken Bow: The Southeastern Oklahoma standout had one of the best freshman seasons in recent memory with eye popping numbers of 25.9 points and 7.8 assists. He's quick and tough off the bounce, with gamechanging ability as an off the dribble scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140733' first='Dallas' last='Lowe'], 6'0 Guard, Cascia Hill: Another of the guard headliners in the class, Lowe is a walking bucket for a Cascia Hall team that reached the Class 3A semifinals. He averaged 14 a game while also grabbing 5 boards a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2327117' first='Gene' last='Mason'], 6'4 Guard, Victory Christian: One of the higher upside players in the class, the big guard has lead guard capabilities and he handed out 3.6 assists a game. While also having flashes as a scorer for the Class 3A semifinalists Conquerors.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140748' first='Jacques' last='Mitchell'], 6'0 Guard, Booker T Washington: A physical and athletically gifted guard, "Joc" supercharged Booker T Washington in the second half of the season. The Hornets finished runner ups in 5A. He posted a full stat line of 12.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140800' first='Tyson' last='Pogi'], 5'11 Guard, Mustang : A skilled lead guard with outstanding feel, Pogi was a rare freshman to hit the ground running in Class 6A. He filled it up with 15.6 points, with an impressive 42% mark from 3, while also handing out 3.7 assists

Za'Brien Shelburn, 6'1 Guard, Wilson: The small town freshman sensation put the state on notice by leading Wilson to the Class B State Title, with three huge games at the Big House.

[player_tooltip player_id='2352732' first='TJ' last='Williams'], 6'5 Wing, Heritage Hall: Williams made an impact all year with the Chargers thanks to his size, as an impact player around the rim on both ends of the court. Also a promising baseball prospect, Williams has the athletic profile and upside to turn into a wing prospect.

All Freshmen 2nd Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='2135005' first='Josiah' last='Ankrah'], 6'1 Guard, Southmoore: A promising off the dribble scorer and decision maker, Ankrah came on strong to close the year with great performances against Class 6A competition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2327104' first='Branden' last='Crosslen'], 6'3 Wing, Rogers: Crosslen was a productive wing, who played big around the hoop for a young Rogers squad with averages of 10 points and 7 rebounds a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140757' first='Jordan' last='Denson'], 6'1 Guard, Chandler: An athletic small town prospect, Denson recorded highlight reel worth dunks and athletic moves on his way to a productive year in Class 3A.
