STARTING FIVE

1. [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'] EYBL (22-2)
[program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'] won its first three games over weekend on the Nike EYBL circuit with a game scheduled Monday against Team Thad. [player_tooltip player_id='1847792' first='Donovan' last='Davis'] of Freedom, [player_tooltip player_id='2351190' first='Jack' last='Kohnen'] of Slinger, [player_tooltip player_id='2194315' first='Dooney' last='Johnson'] of Milwaukee Juneau and [player_tooltip player_id='2371700' first='Deuce' last='McDuffie'] of Milwaukee King all had big moments for [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro']. In a 67-64 win over The Family, Davis had 14 points and 10 rebounds, Kohnen added 17 points and three rebounds and McDuffie contributed 11 points and six caroms. Johnson had 15 points in a win over AB Elite, and Davis had 24 points and [player_tooltip player_id='2194435' first='Max' last='Jones'] of West Allis Central added 15 points in a 77-55 win over NJ Scholars.

2. [program_tooltip program_id='2076433' first='Kevon' last='Looney Power 5'] 3SSB (22-6)
Power 5 took a week off from the Adidas 3SSB circuit and took part in the Prep Hoops Grit Region Finals in Chicago. This deep and aggressive squad went 6-0 and won the championship in the 16U bracket in Chicago. The toughest outing, in fact, likely came in the quarterfinals against another Wisconsin squad, [program_tooltip program_id='2496167' first='Pro' last='Lane'] -- Walz. Though the final score ended up 60-40, [program_tooltip program_id='2496167' first='Pro' last='Lane'] trailed by just two at the half and had a travel on a layup that would have given the squad a lead at the 12-minute mark. BUt Power 5 got its transition game and offensive rebounding advantage in gear the rest of the way to win going away. [player_tooltip player_id='2288469' first='Jalen' last='Brown'] of Wauwatosa West, [player_tooltip player_id='2140983' first='Tref' last='Rademaker'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2829078' first='West' last='De Pere'], D'Anthony Brown of Milwaukee Academy of Science and [player_tooltip player_id='2127267' first='Zaihir' last='Jones'] of Dominican all played well for Power 5 over the weekend.

3. [program_tooltip program_id='2440507' first='Davis' last='Brothers Elite'] (23-3)
[program_tooltip program_id='2440507' first='Davis' last='Brothers Elite'] had the weekend off and returns to action at the Midwest Showcase in Mequon next weekend. This squad was promoted from 3SSB Gold to the 3SSB circuit for the live period in July. Losses on the season have come at the hands of Iowa United, Mac Irvin Fire and the Minnesota Comets 17U squad. [player_tooltip player_id='2140876' first='Austin' last='Luchetti'] of Monona Grove and [player_tooltip player_id='2140869' first='Alex' last='Krause'] of Kimberly, among others, have had breakout springs for [program_tooltip program_id='2440507' first='Davis' last='Brothers Elite'].

4. [program_tooltip program_id='2076501' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'] Puma Pro16 (20-0)
You know the 16U division in Wisconsin is good when an unbeaten team that has a winning streak that sits at 33 in a row dating back to last season is ranked no higher than fourth. CBA went 4-0 and with all of the victories by double digits on the Puma circuit this past weekend. CBA capped its stellar spring with a 60-30 triumph over [program_tooltip program_id='2139004' first='Team' last='Haliburton'] Pro16. [player_tooltip player_id='2466054' first='Mace' last='Miskel'] of Whitefish Bay and [player_tooltip player_id='2140968' first='Oliver' last='Belot'] of Homestead had 11 each in that game while [player_tooltip player_id='2140905' first='Colin' last='Julien'] of Whitefish Bay added 10 and [player_tooltip player_id='2508415' first='Jude' last='Siikarla'] of Slinger contributed nine.

5. [program_tooltip program_id='2480703' first='24:' last='UP'] Under Armour Rise (17-6)
[player_tooltip player_id='2371703' first='Jayce' last='Cook'] of New Berlin West, [player_tooltip player_id='2140893' first='Caiden' last='Davis'] of West Allis Central and all of their talented teammates had the weekend off. They will take part in the Midwest Showdown in Mequon next weekend.

THE NEXT FIVE

6. [program_tooltip program_id='2076033' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'] New Balance Prelude 32 (14-5)
The thing about this squad is it's depth. Guys like [player_tooltip player_id='2389647' first='Camden' last='Kolstad'] of Marshfield, Gavyn Lorenson of Lake City, Minn., [player_tooltip player_id='2371688' first='Quinn' last='Gerke'] of Tomah and [player_tooltip player_id='2405970' first='Owen' last='Gunderson'] of Altoona can go off and get you double figures in any given game. And of course, you have the mainstays on the squad in [player_tooltip player_id='2140924' first='Graysen' last='Becker'] of Altoona, [player_tooltip player_id='2143926' first='Keaton' last='Wollan'] of Amery and the two bigs -- [player_tooltip player_id='2391346' first='Miles' last='Schmidgall'] of Fall Creek and [player_tooltip player_id='2411648' first='Charlie' last='Hoel'] of Stanley-Boyd. It adds up to a quality team capable of beating really good teams. They will get a chance to prove their mettle this weekend at the Midwest Showcase.

7. [program_tooltip program_id='2078835' first='Wisconsin' last='Swing'] Bredesen Recruit Look (17-10)
Those two kids from McFarland can really hoop it up. Indeed, [player_tooltip player_id='2140913' first='Eli' last='Krueger'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2140920' first='Garrett' last='Crull'] of McFarland rank among the top players in the state's 2027 class, and both have performed well for the Swing this spring. Competing on the Recruit Look circuit for most of the spring, this squad will take part in the Midwest Showcase in Mequon next weekend. In addition to the McFarland duo, the Swing boasts other quality players with [player_tooltip player_id='2505503' first='Will' last='Stremlow'] of Verona having a breakout spring.

8. [program_tooltip program_id='2512324' first='Wisconsin' last='Legends'] (18-4)
A group of really good players from the Fox Valley area who love to compete with each other and beat teams with maybe more size and pure athleticism, the [program_tooltip program_id='2512324' first='Wisconsin' last='Legends'] have been one of the more pleasant surprises this spring. Seymour's [player_tooltip player_id='2508494' first='Isaac' last='Feske'], De Pere's [player_tooltip player_id='2502918' first='Will' last='Krueger'], Bonduel's [player_tooltip player_id='2387960' first='Quinn' last='Wesenberg'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2386363' first='Carter' last='Moesch'], and [program_tooltip program_id='2829078' first='West' last='De Pere']'s [player_tooltip player_id='2140897' first='Carson' last='Samson'] form a solid core for this team, which competes this weekend in the Midwest Showcase.

9. [program_tooltip program_id='2076033' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'] Prep Hoops Showcase Appleton (15-6)
A team that kind of came out of nowhere and is now ranked among the top 10 in the state in 16U, the Playmakers Appleton squad competes in the Ball Until You Fall event in River Falls this weekend. A heavy influence of players from the highly respected program at Neenah have helped this squad achieve success. [player_tooltip player_id='2140993' first='Xavier' last='Bezares'], [player_tooltip player_id='2716963' first='Kolton' last='Fleege'], [player_tooltip player_id='2831021' first='Tyler' last='Clark'], [player_tooltip player_id='2824123' first='Chase' last='Nitz'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2508673' first='Jackson' last='Rindt'] all attend Neenah and play for this team. Of course, the two bigs from Stevens Point have also played big roles as 6-foot-11 [player_tooltip player_id='2508649' first='Jayden' last='Suehs'] and 6-foot-6 [player_tooltip player_id='2473025' first='Jackson' last='Bouressa'] have improved throughout the spring.

10. [program_tooltip program_id='2496167' first='Pro' last='Lane'] -- Walz (22-10)
This squad proved its value in a loss. Even though the final spread was 20 points, [program_tooltip program_id='2496167' first='Pro' last='Lane'] played Power 5 to a two-point game at half and had a chance to take a lead with 12 minutes left. Arrowhead's [player_tooltip player_id='2412856' first='Theo' last='Toepel'], Wisconsin Lutheran's [player_tooltip player_id='2412809' first='Riley' last='Walz'] and Lake Country Lutheran's [player_tooltip player_id='2402768' first='Ethan' last='Hans'] provide most of the heavy lifting, but this squad gets contributions from all seven of its players. And you better be ready to compete because this team will test your resolve.
