Schmidgall, a 6-8 forward from Fall Creek, and a recent recipient of a D2 offer, from Upper Iowa, has had a great summer playing with the Wisconsin Playmakers . Schmidgall has been a force, in the paint, dominating both on the boards and around the basket showing an ability to finish in a variety of ways whether that is with jump hooks, up and unders, or thunderous put-back dunks. The #45 player, in the class of 2027, looks poised for even a better senior season after finishing his junior campaign with a 15.3 ppg and 12.0 rpg stat line.

He averaged 15.3 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists for Fall Creek as a junior.

It is hard to miss Schmidgall if you were at Hopkins this weekend for this event. The six-foot-eight junior out of Fall Creek moves so well for someone his size and frame. Schmidgall can move in the half court off of actions, guard pick and roll well, and sprints to ball screens making him a nightmare for opposing defenses. I loved the motor on Miles, and his ability to impact the game defensively and overall on the glass. To put it plainly, Miles was a menace on the glass. Schmidgall only attempted 21 threes last high school season, but he is capable of hitting shots. If he continues to develop other parts of his game, he has the potential to be a highly coveted prospect as he enters his final season for the Crickets.

He recently picked up a NCAA Division II scholarship offer from the University of Mary, and figures to get plenty of scholarship schools following his progress this spring/summer with the Wisconsin Playmakers P32 squad.

Schmidgall emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in the conference, leading Fall Creek in scoring as just a sophomore. He averaged 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. Schmidgall had a season high of 28 points in a non-conference matchup against Stanley-Boyd and knocked down 58 threes on the season. His poise, shooting ability, and feel for the game stood out as he carved up defenses throughout the year. Already earning First Team honors as a sophomore, he’ll be a name to watch in the coming years.
