Keepers, a 6-0 senior, went off in the game I watched, on Friday morning, knocking down six 3’s in the first half ultimately finishing with around 30 points. Showing true three-level scoring ability, Keepers used his athleticism to explode by closeouts equally comfortable getting to the rim as he was pulling from mid-range. Keepers looks like he will be a key contributor as Neenah competes for an FVA title this season.

Keepers had the most impressive shooting performance on Friday. The guard prospect from Neenah hit six first half threes, keeping his Playmakers team right with Team Herro National. Gavin was run off the line more in the second half, but this did not stop his scoring barrage, as he finished with 29 points for the game. Keepers did his damage off quick drives off closeouts reads, pull-ups from the midrange, and drawing contact to get to the line. As Keepers battles for more run at Neenah in his senior year, his offensive abilities will certainly help him in earning a more prominent role for the Rockets.

Getting playing time at a program like Neenah is not easy. There are very good players at the Fox Valley Association school who do not get many minutes as underclassmen. Keepers fell into that category last winter for the Rockets, as he earned a varsity spot but didn’t get a ton of playing time. He is hoping to refine his skills with the Wisconsin Playmakers East Premier squad this spring and his showing Friday was impressive as he led his squad to a win by scoring 13 points while also handling the ball and directing the offense. Keepers will have a great deal of competition for PT at Neenah next season, but he’s doing all he can to set himself up for success in 2026-27.
