Power 5 got into a dogfight to open pool play and were able to come out with a victory in large part thanks to the play of Rademaker in the paint. The big man had a clear size advantage on the interior and used it to his advantage with simple catch and finishes in the paint, post moves over his right shoulder and offensive rebounds to get extra chances to score. It was nice to see a big man with a size advantage use it to be efficient scoring at the rim as the Wisconsin DME Academy big man was one of the most productive players I saw on Friday evening.

One of the harder workers in the state, Rademaker continues to take impressive strides in his game. His hustle, unselfishness and work on the glass have always been impressive. But he has added some effective go-to moves in the post that help him to score at the rim. Rademaker was particularly impressive for Power 5 in its resounding win over Team Haliburton . The left-handed forward/center scored 19 points while playing against several players with equal size. Rademaker runs the floor well, passes well out of the post and can step outside to make some shots facing the basket. Manhattan and George Southern have extended NCAA Division I offers to Rademaker to date, and more figure to be on the way.

Athletic 6’9” PF on Looney’s Power 5 Squad. Capable of defending any player on the floor. Utilized elite post-work down low with some smooth finishes throughout the weekend. In the 2nd game, he showed he can be an effective midrange player. Knocking down a smooth pull-up jumper as the game vs Big3 started. Shooting capabilities remained present as the weekend progressed.
