I came away just as impressed with McDuffie as I was with any other player I watched on Friday. His size is legitimate at 6’6″, but he also balances it with skill and athleticism. The versatility he brings on both ends of the floor is what really separates him. He can handle the ball and attack off the bounce while also being more than willing to mix it up inside as a slasher and finisher. Deuce continued the theme for Monarch, showing that he’s more than capable defensively with a combination of versatility and toughness, especially when attacking and disrupting ball screens through different coverages. Friday’s showing was another reminder that he’s a player who could easily work his way into the nation’s top 50, and he should continue to generate more offers as he takes the floor in some impressive national showcase games this winter.

Two. Another four star talent that is top 75 ranked in the country some places, top 100 other places. Was a hotly recruited name last winter gaining several offers, Wake Forest was his lone offer during the 17u season.

An athletic wing who can soar to the basket and finish with a big dunk or ease into open spots on the perimeter and drop three-point bombs, McDuffie has a solid junior season for Nicolet and then played well for the ultra-talented Team Herro squad in April and May. His best basketball appears to be ahead of him as he continues to grow and mature physically. But there is no denying his ability to use his length and lateral quickness to disrupt things on defense and then use his versatility to score on offense. McDuffie has a long list of suiters at the NCAA Division I level. Those most involved at this point include Central Florida, DePaul, Louisville, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, Santa Clara, TCU and UCLA.

In front of a sold out crowd at Wisconsin Lutheran College, Deuce McDuffie Deuce McDuffie 6'7" | SF Monarch Academy | 2027 State #83 Nation KS was coming up huge to lead his team to a win over RWE. Anytime his team needed a basket, Deuce seemed to find a way to get to the rim and finish. At 6’7 he can simply handle the ball in a way not many guys that size can, able to weave through the length of RWE and finish in a number of ways at the rim. Showed a smooth turnaround jumper from the elbow as well. Started high school as mostly a shooter, began taking the next step physically about a year ago, and has now expanded his game off the dribble heading into his senior year.

Team Herro has some marquee names in Wisconsin’s 2027 class that has a chance to be the best in recent memory for that state. While some of the other names get a lot of the shine, and it’s well deserved for their talents, McDuffie seems like a prospect flying under the radar who could blow up as a senior or have an impactful college career. With his size, athleticism, ball handling and passing ability, McDuffie checks a lot of boxes from the wing. There’s a reason Wisconsin, UCF and Bradley were early offers for McDuffie.
