Caiden hit some big time shots in 24:Up’s win over D1 Minnesota on Saturday. Even when being defended by 6’6+ wings, Caiden was finding ways to create separation and knock down jumpers. Coming into the weekend I had thought of him as more of a slasher, but he showcased a dangerous pull-up jumper as well. Caiden was able to stop on a dime and rise up to get his shot off over length. Played as more of a glue-guy this past winter for a loaded West Allis Central team, but will look to step up as a go-to player next winter as a senior.

And all four of those players are outstanding performers for coach Dave Mlachnik. But the Bulldogs have another player vital to their success in Alland-Davis. A wing prospect with length and size, Alland-Davis put in eight huge points for West Allis Central in the Bulldogs’ memorable 67-64 win over previously undefeated Wayzata, Minn. He then had 14 points in the 74-72 loss to Appleton North. Alland-Davis can slash to the basket with the best of them, but he can also make long-range jump shots. Defensively, his length and mobility are big assets for the Bulldogs.

One of the more versatile prospects at the Tune Up, Davis made his presence felt far beyond the box score. His defensive energy was unmatched when; locking down guards, disrupting passing lanes, and blocking shots from the wing. With a high motor and an above-the-rim mentality, Davis consistently shifted momentum for 24:UP. Davis impacted winning consistently throughout the weekend.

Davis finished the high school season at West Allis Central averaging 7.6 points and 4.1 rebounds as the Bulldogs went 21-6 under coach Dave Mlachnik. His value on the basketball court, however, runs far, far deeper than just his statistical output. An emerging collegiate prospect in the 2027 class due to his length, athleticism and versatility, Davis competes with good instincts while scoring off the bounce and from the mid range. He can step outside to hit some threes, and he competes on the glass on both ends of the court. 24: UP coach Scott Cook put it best when he says, “Davis is growing in all areas of the game. He chips away at stat lines over a whole game.”

You don’t find a lot of guys in that 6’3-6’4 range who have as quick of a first step as Caiden does. He can casually catch on the wing, and then out of nowhere he’s ripped and blown by you to get to the rim. So tough to stop once he gets downhill because he has impressive body control to finish in traffic, but also does a nice job of finding kickout passes to hit shooters once the defense collapses on him. Has the length to defend out on the wing, but showed he can pick up opposing guards and move his feet with smaller players out on an island.

An athletic wing that has good bounce and rhythm for the game. Can be a 2 or 3 at the next level. Runs the floor fast in the break phase with eyes peeled to take it himself or dish it off. Made a great rip through off the catch from an EOB with 2 hard dribbles and finishing high at the rim. Can catch and shoot from 3. Will challenge on the ball defensively.
