About Jalen
Expert Analysis

Brown seemed slightly off his game in the first half even though he did score nine points. But he caught fire in the second half and his electric long-distance shooting display in the final four minutes was something to behold. Seemingly sinking each three-point shot from further out of the court, Brown buried four straight triples to keep the outcome in doubt until the final horn sounded. Brown finished with 29 points and five three-point baskets for the Trojans. His combination of size, unselfishness, skill and penchant for making the big plays are major assets for Wauwatosa West, and all of those positive traits to his game figure to translate well to the next level.

flexed why he is the #5 player in the recent 2027 player rankings with his performance on Friday night. I have seen Brown play in summer league events and on streams, but tonight I was able to see the progression in person Jalen has made with his game since starting his high school career. Brown was dominate on Friday pouring in 35 points, pulling down several rebounds, and using his elite athleticism to disrupt offense for Sussex Hamilton. The 6’5 junior had five triples and was able to score at all three levels at will during the GMC matchup. Brown was averaging 17.6ppg coming into this game, and will look to expand his scoring as we inch closer to the playoffs. Brown has rightfully gained the attention and offers of several power five programs. He is poised for big playoff performances leading into the spring and summer club season.

It’s difficult to call Brown a Stock Riser since he’s already ranked among the very elite in the state’s exceptionally talented 2027 class. However, credit is nonetheless due to Brown, who recently picked up a scholarship offer from Wisconsin. Proving he can play either guard spot while helping Power 5 to four resounding victories in Appleton, Brown was content to do what it took to help his team win. If he needed to score, he did. If facilitating was in order, he accomplished that as well. And, like all of his teammates, Brown was locked in on defense from opening tip until the end of the game. Brown’s size, length, skill and athleticism are all impressive, and his work ethic and developing leadership skills stand out as well.
