When watching Belot in the past, one came away with the impression that shooting is his No. 1 strength, particularly from three-point range. That may still be the case, but the muscular junior wing scored in the paint for all seven of his baskets Saturday against Marquette High. He was able to pivot away from defenders and finish through contact with his physical strength, showing he has diversified his game to become an inside and outside scorer for the Highlanders.

The top scorer on a Chapman Basketball Academy Puma 16 NXT Pro squad that is unbeaten in 16 games this season and owns a 29-game winning streak dating back to late season, Belot ranks as one of the elite shooting guards in the state’s 2027 class. He is simply deadly from outside the arc. And he has the movement, strength and instincts to get himself open. In last weekend’s Puma 16 event in Wichita, Beloit made 15-of-30 shots from outside the arc and averaged 21.0 ppg as CBA went 4-0. A backcourt of Rogers and Belot for Homestead coach Sean Crider figures to rank among the best in the state over the next two seasons.

Belot was a solid source of play making for homestead.

The 2027 combo guard was highly competitive all tournament. He did not show much weakness in his game. Particularly the ability to get into the paint and create for others well made him an impact on the floor.

Belot showcased his talents over the summer with Chapman Basketball Academy . He returns to Homestead for his sophomore season. During camp he was a sniper for team 7. He took on the role of the gunner for team 7. Belot knocked down well contested shots from range after finding his rhythm. I was really impressed with the arc and shooters touch on his jump shot.
