Confident combo guard with touch and feel around the rim. Finishes effectively in transition game over more size. Has body control after accelerating to cup. Possessed shot making ability with a mid range jay off of a pull back dribble and can knock it down from beyond arc from corners. Scoring back court player that will contribute in multiple ways.

When Moeller is at their best it is when their utility guys are contributing at a high level. McQueen did that tonight with some toughness plays getting loose balls and being in the right place to finish layups or 3-pointers off the catch. Able to play on or off the ball, McQueen and Donald split time bringing the ball up the court and the duo have nice chemistry with each other in the half-court. It takes toughness to win in the GCL-South and McQueen certainly has that.

Moeller has a rich tradition of sending players to the college level and with so much young talent, having an experienced decision maker at the point guard position is very valuable resource for the Crusaders this season. McQueen can be that player as the 6’0 combo guard can play on or off the ball next to Bubba Donald Bubba Donald 6'1" | PG Archbishop Moeller | 2028 State OH and prevent turnovers. McQueen was a prospect who first got on our radar helping lead his All Heart Basketball team to the 15 U championship and has since made his name known on the Made Hoops Circuit with Midwest Cincy MHC. Look for McQueen to be a popular guard among small college programs this upcoming summer.

I saw McQueen play in the 8am time slot and he did not show any tiredness. His game is to get downhill and put pressure on the rim. He has a nice handle and skillset that allows him to take his time to break down defenders, shift their hips, and then blow by them. He shot all of his shots at the rim because he could not get stopped. He has good air control and touch that allows him to make some shots others struggle with.

Last time I watched All Heart 15 U they were hoisting the Ohio State Tournament championship in Columbus back in May. While they didn’t quite have enough juice to win the Grit Region Finals, they still had some bright spots. I thought the Goshen duo of Braylon Settelmayer Braylon Settelmayer 5'11" | CG Goshen | 2027 OH and Karson Alderman Karson Alderman 6'2" | PF OH showed promise as a duo that can continue to build chemistry in the high school season. I opted to spotlight McQueen because his toughness and production levels were exceptional. A guard who wants to get downhill and finish off two feet at the rim, McQueen got lots of buckets in the paint off dribble drives. As a defender, McQueen was getting after loose balls and forcing turnovers with his pressure. It will be interesting to see how McQueen fits in on a Moeller squad that has some experienced talent returning from a GCL-South championship squad.

I was really impressed with the slashing ability McQueen showed me this weekend. Tough to keep in front when he was attacking downhill, McQueen had a nasty spin and-1 layup in transition during the semifinal battle with Nova Village. A consistent scorer all weekend for his team, McQueen was tough to keep out of the paint. Combine his slashing ability with a capable 3-point shot off the catch and there’s a lot to like about this 2027 guard who will have to wait his turn at Moeller but could burst onto the scene as an upperclassman.
