One of the tallest players I saw today, Moultry feasted on second and third chance buckets in two thrilling contests for his Midwest Daniels group. Moultry does a nice job of rolling to the rim and being around the basket when shots go up to give him the best chance of getting an offensive rebound. Despite leaving some points at the rim, Moultry was still productive thanks to his motor and volume of opportunities in the paint. One of the most talented players in the Columbus City League, expect Moultry to put up monster numbers as a senior.

One of the most productive bigs in the Columbus City League as just a Sophomore, Moultry had a handful of double-doubles and was near the league leaders in rebounds and blocks. Still has some development to make offensively but he shows good basketball IQ with the ball in his hands and does the things I want young bigs to focus on offensively like rolling to the rim, catching passes and kicking out of double teams. Interesting player who should continue to improve.

One of the more interesting talents in the Columbus city league, Moultry has had a strong Sophomore season with numerous double-double performances. Standing at 6’8, Moultry can protect the rim with his length and snatch rebounds over smaller defenders. I was also impressed by his passing ability out of the post, knowing where he should be looking if the defense sends a double-team his way. When Eastmoor Academy was running away with the game in the fourth quarter, Moultry had a powerful slam-dunk to cap off the rivalry game win over Whitehall. Expect to hear a lot more about Moultry over the next few seasons as he should continue to improve.
