Michael Roth | Prep Hoops Scout
A player who has surprised me this summer, Ross has been one of the top contributors for his Midwest Pumas squad thanks to his length, slashing ability and positional size. When you take a look at Ross in layup lines you see an athlete that should be playing at the next level and his production has started to match that talent. Moving from Westerville Central to Bishop Ready should open up more opportunities for Ross to shine as a scorer on a winning program. He’s getting experience playing next to Silver Knights point guard

In a blowout win to open the morning, Ross continued where he left off on Saturday as a productive slashing wing who can finish above the rim when given a runway and used his physical tools defensively and to grab rebounds. A consistent producer on this Midwest Daniels squad, Ross will join our 2027 rankings during the next update thanks to his combination of positional size, interior scoring, defensive versatility and production.

Bishop Ready has been one of the most consistent small school programs in central Ohio the past decade with top talent year in and year out. Ross should be a nice addition to the Silver Knights roster as he provides athleticism and shot making on the wing. Ross found his rhythm on Saturday morning from the mid-range area, getting to his spots from 12-15 feet and knocking it down over smaller defenders. In the second half, Ross made some clutch buckets including one to tie the game with under two minutes to play. I’d imagine small college programs from across Ohio will come check out this Midwest Pumas Select team.

Ross is a nice player. He is as solid as they come. He plays with a great fast pace and is ready to speed the game up. He gets to the rim great because of his fast first step. He does not get bumped off his line. He attacked angles well. He caused a lot of turnovers and got buckets in transition. He had a pair of dunks in the game I watched and showed off some sneaky athleticism.

I really liked what I saw from Ross in transition on Friday night due to his ability to get a head of steam and play at the rim with his size and fluidity on the wing. Tied for the team lead with 15 points in the win, Ross has the physical tools you look for with a two way wing. Near the end of the first half Ross even knocked down a 3-pointer to show a little jump shooting ability as well. Intriguing prospect from central Ohio’s 2027 class.
