One of the top passers in southwest Ohio, Settelmayer has the feel of a veteran point guard out on the court. Able to take care of the basketball, see reads that most other guards don’t see and set the table, Settelmayer is so impressive thanks to his feel and basketball IQ. Leading his conference in assists by two per game, Settelmayer is the brains of one of the top offensive attacks in southwest Ohio. If Settelmayer can make a jump with his scoring efficiency, he could rise up our list as a senior.

High IQ point guard that excels as a facilitator and floor general. Shows advanced vision and passing ability as a true point. Consistently makes pitch ahead passes and will thread the needle in tight spaces. Delivers skip passes in ½ court setting to make defenses rotate. Comfortable operating in ball screens, drive and dish settings, or making strong post feeds. Understands how to control the game while attacking and initiating offensive flow.

Able to get downhill whenever he wanted on Sunday, Settelmayer was applying rim pressure and finishing with either hand at the rim. When a guard can attack going both directions it makes them a lot tougher to stop as a driver and Settelmayer did that often. A couple mid-range buckets also caught my eye from him on Sunday.

One of the best passers I saw all day, Settlemayer was setting the table at a high level on Friday afternoon. Really solid in the pick and roll, Settlemayer didn’t let the ball stick to his hands and made passes on time and on target. An undersized lead guard, Settlemayer also had a couple floaters and touch shots. His most impressive bucket was a fallaway 3-pointer at the first half horn.
