Making the biggest jump up our list, Donald had an excellent sophomore season where he hit the ground running at the varsity level. Leading Moeller in points, assists and steals per game, Donald was making a huge impact in a variety of ways for one of the most historic programs in the state. Donald’s ability to create for himself off the dribble separated himself in the physical GCL-South this season. Shooting over 55% from the field and over 40% from 3-point range, Donald was very efficient at the varsity level this past season and has established himself as one of the top players in the state from the class of 2028.

One of the biggest stock risers in the 2028 class this winter, Donald has been handed the keys to the Moeller offense and thrived as a primary creator for his squad. Hitting a nasty step-back 3-pointer in the second quarter, Donald has rare ability off the bounce. I also loved when he attacked a La Salle big on a switch and used a quick crossover to change directions and get fouled on the drive. Also knocking down some contested mid-range pull-ups, Donald looked comfortable getting to his spot and rising up. While Donald made a jump in our last rankings update, it seems like he’s due for another one when we update 2028 rankings again in February.

Another prospect who waited his turn at the JV level at one of the powerhouse programs in Ohio, Donald is the second prospect in this article to hit the ground running to start his varsity career. Being given the keys to the offense, Donald is currently leading the GCL-South in assists per game at over four per contest. After turning the ball over five times in their season opening game, Donald only has one in each of his last two varsity games showing that the game is slowing down a little for him. I expect Donald and the rest of this Moeller team to improve as the season goes on and that’s a scary thought for teams that will have to face them in February and March.

Donald was probably the best player in the event with his performance on Saturday night. Anyone you talked to about the event they were talking about Donald. He is an elite guard with an elite skillset already. He was knocking down shots at a high level. The ball came off his hand quick off the dribble. He is such a smooth athlete and has some sneaky bounce. It was fun to watch him as he was in ultimate rhythm.

Getting some quality experience with Moeller’s JV squad as a freshman, Donald had an impressive month of June with the Crusaders as he’s going to be one of the primary players running the show offensively. A dynamic guard who has a lot of ability with the ball in his hands, it is no surprise that he found success with WV Gold 15 U as a scoring guard who can knock down contested pull-up jumpers. Despite not getting varsity action as a freshman, Donald is already well-known across the Cincinnati area and he certainly won’t be sneaking up on anybody this season as opposing players and coaches know the talent he has on the offensive end of the court. Excited to see a new era of Moeller basketball with a loaded 2028 and 2029 class getting their chance to leave a mark starting this season.
