Luca Filia Luca Filia 6'2" | PG/SG Olentangy Berlin | 2028 State OH impressed with elite ball-handling, keeping the ball on a string while attacking the rim at will. He knocked down shots from the perimeter and showed off his athleticism throughout the day.

Filia is one of the most talented players in the showcase. He was able to do whatever he wanted to do. He could score whenever he wanted and however he wanted. He walked into the gym like he owned it. This shows the high level of confidence he has. This allowed him to be in automatic rhythm from the start of the day. He is an elite three-level scorer. He has unlimited range and came off his hand quick. When attacking the basket, he is an explosive vertical athlete. He is ready to meet anyone at the rim. Filia’s talent is unquestioned and proved his ranking on Saturday.  

I was really impressed with Filia for Nova Village this spring and summer as a shifty guard with the burst and ball handling ability to get by defenders off the dribble and uses his positional size to score at the rim. A dynamic offensive player, Filia can light it up from downtown, slash and score at the rim and make plays for others as a passer. This year could be the breakout season for Filia who has the potential to be one of the most impactful point guards in central Ohio as just a Sophomore. The Olentangy school district has produced some of the top players in the state and Filia could be the next superstar from northern Columbus.

Filia had 21 first half points in a competitive game that Nova Village 15 U eventually ran away with the win in the second half. Filia is a crafty guard who does a nice job playing into contact which gets him to the foul line. His craftiness also is shown with his finishing ability, able to play through contact with either hand at the rim. One of the top guards in central Ohio, Filia will debut very high in our 2028 rankings update coming after July basketball wraps up.

Filia is a dog. One of the most impressive players I saw on Saturday. This freshman can absolutely go. He can do whatever you ask from him on offense. He is a score-first guard and can do it from inside and out. He is a creative and acrobatic finisher at the rim with a great touch on the ball. He gets to the rim easily. He knocks down threes with efficiency. Smooth shot that you are kind of surprised when he misses. Then he has a high enough IQ when he gets going and the defense over helps with the ball in his hand he dishes to the open teammate. He has great court vision. He is a dang good basketball player.

One of the top freshman guards in Ohio, this left-handed playmaker really impressed with his play on Friday in a 65-59 win over Nova Village 15u over a very talented EG10 15u squad. The 6’1″ point guard scored 17 points to lead his team to victory. He has great quick-twitch decision-making skills with the ball in his hands for a young guard.
