Caleb Marshall Caleb Marshall 6'2" | CG/SG Lexington Christian | 2028 State KY led the Eagles in scoring last season, averaging 20.7 points per game. He was outstanding from deep, knocking down 112 three-pointers at a 40.9% clip while averaging 4.1 makes per game. Marshall was also highly efficient overall, shooting 46.8% from the field and 88.8% from the free-throw line. His scoring ranked among the best in the state, but his shooting numbers made a strong case for him as the state’s top shooter. His 4.1 three-pointers per game ranked first in the state, while his 112 total threes were the seventh-most in the state.

Caleb is coming off of a huge sophomore season during which he nearly doubled his scoring output. As one of the best shooters in the state regardless of class, he’s shot over 40% from 3pt range for the past two seasons and is expected to continue doing so. Although still hunting his first D1 offer, several programs have already expressed interest. With that said, expect Caleb to stand out amongst the crowd at this weekend’s Expo as he looks to break into the top 15 of our 2028 rankings.

Caleb is a truly elite shooter who is one of the best catch and shoot guards in Kentucky and has really improved as a movement shooter in the last year or so. Marshall has developed his game to become a better primary ballhandler and could be a point guard at the college level. The next year is going to be vital to Caleb’s development and he could find several D1 schools offering him in the next 12-18 months.

Over 5 games this weekend, Marshall hit 23 threes and averaged 21 points per game. The elite shooter is coming off of a wrist injury that caused him to miss about a month of time but he showed no ill effects this past weekend.

Possibly the best shooter in the state, Marshall could be a point guard at the college level. He’s improving as a playmaker and defender but Caleb is an elite level catch and shoot player.

Speaking of great shooters, Marshall may be the best in the state. While facing all sorts of defensive coverage, Caleb hit 41% from three while making over 4 per game. Most nights, Marshall was facing the team’s best defender but he still managed to score 21 points per game. He needs to continue improving as a defender and as a play maker but Caleb has the chance to be the best player in Lexington next season.

He can score in any situation, moving effectively off screens and through on- and off-ball motion to get open. Marshall has a quick, smooth release and adjusts seamlessly to what’s happening around him, making him one of the toughest players in the state to guard from three.

Despite the heartbreaking loss, Marshall still stood out as one of the elite shooters in Kentucky’s 2028 class. Making shots off pin-down screens and DHO actions, Newport did a nice job not letting Marshall simply catch and shoot, making him work for his perimeter attempts. Liking to finish with his right hand on the left side, Marshall had a sweet righty reverse layup past a shot contest. While Marshall is having a huge sophomore season, improvements physically will make it easier for him to score when he’s ran off the 3-point line.

Marshall moved up from 24th to 13th in this update and is having one of the best seasons in the entire 11th region. Caleb has established himself as an elite shooter in the state and is currently averaging 23 points per game while hitting 44% of his threes and making 4.5 per game.

Marshall is known as an elite shooter but he continues to put up big shooting numbers with defenses knowing they have to stop him from getting his shots up. Averaging 25 points per game and shooting 42% from three, Caleb is making nearly 5 threes per game. There is something to be said for being a star in your role. Look for Marshall to be in the mix with best shooters in the region when AAU season rolls around.
