One of the best athletes in Ohio, Davis is one of the rare freshmen to play at the varsity level for Moeller and he did it in multiple sports. Davis projects as one of the best wide receivers in the country on the gridiron and is a top talent on the hardwood as well. An exceptional explosive athlete, Davis has thrown down some of the most impressive dunks from a freshman I’ve seen in Ohio. Davis physicality and athleticism also makes him a terrific rebounder who gets way more than half of 50/50 balls. Hoping to see Davis improve as a perimeter shooter this summer as he can dominate players his age with his athleticism and physicality.

It’s very rare for a freshman to start at Moeller but the Crusaders have two this year with Davis and

making waves as a freshman. An elite athlete and defender, Davis had some unbelievable contested rebounds and steals. Davis highlight of the game came on a drive where he faked a pass and threw down a slam dunk in one quick, fluid move. Expect to hear Davis name a bunch around the Cincinnati the next few years due to his talents on the gridiron and hardwood.

Davis has already established himself as one of the top prospects in Ohio’s Class of 2029. The 6’3″ guard, who is also a standout on the gridiron, is one of the best athletes in the freshman class nationally. He had his special physical tools on display on Sunday as he led Moeller with 11 points and 7 rebounds in a tough 46-42 loss to St. Vincent-St. Mary.

Davis won the game at the buzzer with a putback layup that sent the crowd into a frenzy. Coming off the bench, Davis finished with four points, six rebounds and three defensive stocks. One of the best all around athletes in Ohio, Davis has already made an impact for Moeller at both football and basketball as a freshman. Incredibly physically advanced, Davis is already an elite defender and rebounds and you cannot overpower him at either end of the court despite his age. Expect to hear a lot about Davis over the next four years for the Crusaders.

Davis is a player I walked away from this weekend extremely excited about. His ceiling is very high. He is a really nice, bouncy athlete with explosiveness. He has some good length. He had impressive control around the rim and finished at a high level. He is a physical finisher and not afraid of contact. He had a crazy spin move into a tough finish off balance. He is a skilled player with great tools.

Moeller has as young of a group as I’ve ever seen the Crusaders have and that’s in large part due to extremely talented 2028 and 2029 classes coming in the doors during back-to-back years. There can’t be many better overall athletes in the 2029 class than Davis as his quick twitch and explosiveness are next level. Davis was productive in the game I saw as he had multiple reverse layups, took a charge and drew a couple fouls. As a freshman I don’t expect Davis to be leading Moeller in scoring but if he can provide two-way value and add an extra pop on the fast break, he’ll help Moeller win games this season.
