The second leading scorer at the 15 U level this weekend, Peagler was sensational for an All Ohio Baneville squad that went 3-1 on the weekend and looks like one of the top 15 U teams on the circuit. Peagler is as quick as anybody with the ball in his hands. Peagler Jr’s ability to attack going either way makes him such a tough guard at this level and when you combine his impressive decision making as a passer with a live dribble, he’s going to put up monster numbers all season long. To end the third quarter in their game Sunday Vs Georgia Stars Peagler Jr hit a floater from near the 3-point line to help extend the lead for All Ohio. One of the top players in the 2029 class in Ohio, Peagler Jr is starting to become more well known nationally thanks to this weekend’s performance.

Our top ranked point guard, Peagler had a dominant freshman season for Kettering Alter, where he led the GCL Co-Ed in scoring. Peagler Jr has special end to end speed and is able to attack and finish with both hands. I also think Peagler Jr is an elite passer who makes tremendous cross-court passes and can get to the rim with ease and kickout to shooters. All Ohio Red 15 U went unbeaten at Midwest Mania with Peagler Jr helping lead the charge and it will be interesting to see how they fare during the EYBL season.

willed All Ohio to the victory as Peagler Jr showed off his diverse offensive skillset. Peagler Jr opened the game with a mid-range pull-up as he does an excellent job of getting to his spots off the dribble and is lightning fast off the dribble. In transition, Peagler Jr can attack going either direction and finish with either hand at the rim. If the defense manages to stay in front of him, he usually ends up at the foul line. Also one of the best passers in Ohio, Peagler Jr threw some dimes after he collapsed the defense with his dribble-drive game. Peagler Jr will debut very high in the initial 2029 rankings dropping this week.

One of the top freshman guards in the state, Peagler Jr is an elite passer who made some crazy pocket passes in traffic for assists. A strong downhill athlete, Peagler’s righty finishing ability despite being a left-handed shooter should draw similarities to Lawrent Rice as a finisher, despite being a couple inches shorter than the former Huber Heights Wayne star. Peagler Jr had multiple finishes through the teeth of the defense and was fearless in his high school debut. Another name who will be a hot topic of conversation over the next four years, Peagler Jr’s name will come up time and time again on this website when we discuss the top 2029 point guards and top players in Dayton over the next four years.

William Peagler proved to be the best guard prospect in the 2029 group, standing out with his explosive athleticism and elite all-around game. His insane first step allowed him to blow by defenders with ease, and he scored at will from all areas of the floor. Beyond his offensive prowess, Peagler also showcased high-level defensive instincts and intensity, making plays on both ends and demonstrating why he’s one of the most promising young guards in his class.

Kettering Alter had to replace a lot of talent that graduated from last year’s team and in steps in a talented freshman guard who will be sure to make an impact at the varsity level this winter. Peagler Jr played tough on ball defense and had a couple steals and scores while also being unselfish and throwing the ball ahead in transition. Able to beat defenders off the dribble, Peagler Jr’s ball handling ability might be his best skill right now. Based on what I saw on Sunday, I’d be surprised if there were many better guards in southwest Ohio’s 2029 class.
