Nike EYBL Peach Jam – Ramsey’s Tuesday Midwestern Top Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Our July travels brought us down to North Augusta, South Carolina and the Riverpark Activities Center for our annual pilgrimage to the Peach Jam. This event is the pinnacle of grassroots basketball and always a very fun stop during our summer journey. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground as the 30th annual Peach Jam tipped off on Tuesday morning and had the chance to see some of the top prospects in the country. The national four-star prospect is a really fun guard to watch with a unique blend of strength, athleticism, and skill. He rebounds very well from the perimeter and isn't afraid to play through contact off of the bounce, but also has the typical finesse and ball skill of a true combo guard. Cleveland is a long, lean 6'3" guard with impressive shot-making abilities. He got to his spots consistently, created open looks at various levels for himself off of the dribble, and was incredibly efficient. Cleveland finished with a game-high 23 points on 10-14, 3-4 shooting. It is pretty clear why. The smooth 6'6" wing moves so well on the perimeter, has legitimate ball skill, and can utilize his positional size and length to finish around the basket. He shot it well from the perimeter on Tuesday going 3-4 from three-point range on his way to a team-high 20 points. He was 4-10 from deep and scored 21 points for Meansteets 17u on Tuesday. The Arkansas commit is simply so explosive off of the bounce. It is nearly impossible to stay in front of him when he is attacking the basket. Thompson finished with 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists while shooting 4-8 from beyond the arc for Meanstreets 17u on Tuesday. He is absolutely one of the top point guards in the country.
