Quinton Kitt is a 6’6 power forward who gets to the line efficiently and impacts the stat sheet in all categories. During the entire week of Peach Jam for MeanStreets, Quinton consistently hurt the defense with consistent paint scoring and shooting from the corner three-point spot. His hustle in transition pays off, resulting in easy buckets for his team under the basket and his aggressive defense on the perimeter causes turnovers for opposing ballhandlers. Kitt has a strong frame that he can use to guard anywhere on the floor, and he can even play bully ball with opponents down low if he has a mismatch. Kitt committed to Illinois in November of 2025.

Illini commit is a stat sheet stuffing versatile small forward who is a connective piece on the offensive end.  His scoring has continued to tick up this summer as we saw again here with 15 points (5-12 FG) (5-5 FT) and 6 rebounds.  Didn’t shoot it particularly well from distance in this game, but was effective backing in out of the mid-post area, going through defenders on drives, and getting on the offensive glass. 

Kitt brought tons of offensive versatility to the floor in addition to having one of the highest motors we saw on the weekend. The 6-foot-6 wing is both physical and explosive as an interior finisher and got into those positions on drives from the wing, timely cuts in transition and half-court offense and when ripping and driving by defenders in face-up situations. Kitt averaged 21 points on the weekend, including a 29-point effort against Oakland Soldiers.

Kitt is an early commit to Illinois and one of the premier three-point shooters in the Class of 2027. Anytime you can combine positional size and elite shooting ability you create a very intriguing prospect. That is exactly what the 6’6″ Kitt brings to the table. He was 4-10 from deep and scored 21 points for Meansteets 17u on Tuesday. Illinois got themselves a good one to begin their 2027 recruiting class.

Kitt, a dynamic wing for Meanstreets, has also enjoyed a strong start this spring. His frame and ability to score both inside and out make Quinton one of the fastest-rising players nationally, and a prospect who looks poised to continue climbing recruiting rankings. His perimeter shooting continues to become more consistent, and he’s attacking off the bounce more than ever, using his wide shoulders to create scoring opportunities around the basket. Perhaps his biggest strength this spring has been getting to the free-throw line, showing a willingness to initiate contact, play through it, and consistently convert at the charity stripe. There’s no question the Illinois commit could be one of the more surprising standouts in attendance at the Mid-June event.

7th in scoring at the 17 U level this weekend, Kitt was serving out buckets in a variety of ways this weekend. While Meanstreets didn’t have the team success they were hoping for, Kitt was certainly a bright spot at the Illinois commit was creating contact first with the ball in his hands before stepping back or going through the chest of defenders for buckets. Kitt also used pump fakes well to get defenders in the air or off balance and has a polished scoring game. It looks like Kitt is a perfect fit for an Illinois team that prioritizes positional size, physicality, feel for the game and offensive skill. Hope to see Meanstreets use their depth of offensive talent to rack up some wins in future sessions.

It was a tough night shooting for the Illini commit as he went 4-13 from the field.  He was at his best when he worked out of the post on turnaround jumpers, baseline spins, and powering his way through his defender.  Versatile wing got to the line where he was 5-8 as he finished with 13 points.
