A monster second half push by Alter helps them continue their season as they quickly erased a 12 point halftime deficit and took a seven point lead going into the fourth quarter that they would hold on to. Bakos came out of the halftime break on fire with multiple leakout layups off steals when the Alter zone defense started to bother the CHCA guards. Bakos hit a transition 3-pointer to give Alter the lead and their fans erupted. This victory by the Knights sets up a winner take all rubber match in the regional semis between Wyoming and Alter, two teams that have met in the regional finals the last two seasons with each side winning once.

Coming in clutch when his team needed it the most, Bakos made big shot after big shot on Saturday evening to lead Kettering Alter with 18 points on the night. The zone defense Moeller ran allowed Bakos to sneak around and find holes to catch and fire away in the blink of an eye. Bakos heat check from way behind the line was nothing but net and that was a huge momentum boost for the Knights. Bakos had a big time performance in the regional final for Kettering Alter as he came off the bench and provided a spark as a scorer. Not shy about letting it fly from downtown, Bakos can make shots at an elite rate as he shot 50% from downtown as a sophomore. On a senior laden team I liked how Bakos fit in next to a handful of guys with state championship experience but next season it will be up to Bakos to help lead the way for the Knights if they want to remain at the top of the GCL Co-Ed.
