Woeste is ranked as a Top 15 prospect in the Class of 2029 by Prep Hoops Ohio and it is easy to see why. The versatile 6’2″ guard is an impressive driver using a sneaky pop of athleticism and his positional size to score around the rim while also consistently putting pressure on the defense as a perimeter shooting threat. An Oakwood High School rising sophomore, Woeste scored 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in Tuesday’s win for All Ohio Baneville 15u.

Woeste was handing out buckets Vs Ferndale on Saturday as the skilled wing guard showed off his polished offensive game. One of the toughest covers in the 2029 class, Woeste has excellent footwork on his drives and changes directions and uses pivots at a high level. Another thing I love about Woeste’s game is that every shot looks like it’s going in. While Woeste had maybe 20-25 points against Ferndale, he had another 10-12 points spin in and out, meaning he could’ve easily eclipsed the 30 point mark against one of the better teams from Detroit. While Woeste was impressive as a freshman, I’d be shocked if he isn’t scoring over 20 PPG this season based on what I saw on Saturday and I’d expect his efficiency to stay the same or improve from his freshman year marks of 46/36/80.

While watching a lot of 15u action at the Run N Slam, Woeste stood out as one of our top out-of-state prospects. The versatile 6’3″ wing did a little bit of everything for All Ohio Baneville. He proved himself as a catch-and-shoot threat from deep while showing off some fluidity off of the dribble as well. The Oakwood High School prospect definitely looks like one of the best in Ohio’s Class of 2029.

I caught Woeste for the first time with All Ohio Baneville 15 U at Midwest Mania and was impressed with his game but he took it to another level this weekend by finishing third among 15 U players in scoring. Woeste has a throwback style of play with his ability to move without the basketball, play at his own pace while still creating space and knock down a high percentage of catch and shoot looks. This blend of shooting, high feel for the game and ball movement from his teammates allowed him to score efficiently at a high volume. I really hope Woeste grows over the next few years because his style of play will be deadly if he reaches the 6’4-6’6 range. Talented prospect who is very valuable at the 15 U level.

Southwest Ohio had a handful of freshmen guards make an instant impact at the varsity level and Woeste finished fourth in the SWBL in scoring this winter. Woeste is a skilled off-guard who plays at his own rhythm on the ball and has a pretty jumper. When you combine those skills you get a guard who is able to play off the ball and become a threat playing off the catch next to other slashing guards. Expect Woeste to have some big scoring games for All Ohio Red this EYBL season.
