. One of the few freshman prospects that is getting true varsity time, Hampton is a long and lanky prospect that has some sneaky athleticism and bounce to his game. Hampton has the ability to stretch the floor while also using his size and length well around the basket when mismatches present themselves. He will do some good things at the Fishers Tournament.

Evansville Bosse High School expects to have this freshman step in right away and make an instant impact. We had a chance to see him with the Bulldogs over the summer some and he certainly fight in as a versatile, athletic, 6’5″ forward. Hampton has the ability to stretch the floor while also using his size and length well around the basket when mismatches present themselves. He is one of the top young prospects in the greater Evansville area.

There may not have been a freshman with more pure upside in the gym on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase than Evansville Bosse forward Ethan Hampton. At 6’5″, this former homeschool product showed elite skill on the ball, able to score consistently at all three levels of the floor. In many ways, the game looks natural to him, and he will likely be a day-one starter at the varsity level.

Hampton caught our attention over the summer as he immediately carved out a role with Evansville Bosse High School in June. He looked the part at the varsity level at the Indiana University Team Camp and the Charlie Hughes Showcase. The 6’5″ wing/forward shot the ball very well on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. That level of offensive versatility and skill level makes him a very intriguing long-term prospect. Hampton is a fluid athlete that can fit into many different roles on both ends of the floor.

Has a mature game for just being an incoming freshman. At 6’5”, he’s extremely skilled and aggressive. Capable three-point shooter, but at this stage he’s more of an energy guy that will get minutes doing the dirty work. Solid offensive rebounder and finisher over length. Has shown the ability offensively of driving close outs and possesses a soft touch on his midrange/floater.

Hampton has so much versatility at his size and young age. The 6’5″ forward from Evansville Bosse High School stepped in right away in June and played a big role for the Bulldogs. We had the chance to see his talent at the IU Team Camp and Charlie Hughes Showcase. It will be fun to continue watching his game develop in the coming years. He is definitely one of the top long-term prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2029.

We first saw Hampton at IU Team Camp the weekend before the Charlie Hughes Showcase and then got to see him again, relatively briefly, over the course of this weekend. Hampton immediately checks a lot of boxes as a 6’6″ forward with impressive length and some natural athleticism. He moves around very well for someone his size at his age. There is no doubt that he is one of the best Class of 2029 prospects in the greater Evansville area and likely throughout the state as well.

Getting eyes on Evansville Bosse not only allowed us to see Bowen, but also this 6’6” freshman who promises to be one of the top Class of 2029 prospects in the state. He moves around very well for his size, flashed some skill level as a straight-line driver from the perimeter, and held his own defensively in the paint. The potential is obvious when seeing him play and we look forward to hopefully hosting Hampton at our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.
