Prep Hoops Indiana Top 15 2029 Prospect Ethan Hampton Ethan Hampton 6'6" | PF Evansville Bosse | 2029 State IN out of Evansville Bosse was as good as advertised. Always been known as a good shooter, he has become really good at turning his drives into post ups and with his size and length he’s able to shoot over the top of most his matchups. Has a soft touch with his midrange jumper while also being able to use both hands around the rim. Still has to work on his athleticism and lateral quickness to maximize his potential, but showed today that he’s a willing defender and one of the best rebounders in the area.

One of the top 2029 prospects in the area with untapped potential.

The 6’6” Evansville Bosse Product showed why he’s one of the best catch and shoot threats in the in-state class of 2029. Balanced shooter with a quick repeatable release. Not the quickest or most athletic, but continues to get better with his isolation play. Does a good job turning his drives into post ups and using his height to his advantage. Finishes well with either hand around the basket with a soft touch while also being unselfish and always looking to make the right play. Has the chance to step into a starting role for talented Evansville Bosse team looking to win back to back sectionals since winning three in a row from 2016-2018.

Hampton played with an impressive level of aggressiveness on Sunday that led to some of his best play that we have seen in a while. The 6’6″ forward has such great versatile and fluid athleticism which is impressive considering his young age. He was able to play a role as a freshman at Evansville Bosse High School and should be ready to step into a larger role this season. Hampton shot the ball well from the perimeter at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. His ability to stretch the floor while also being a threat to drive it makes him a tough matchup for opposing defenses. Between our Freshman Showcase and Sophomore ID Camp on September 6th we are going to have a ton of the best young talent from the Evansville area in the gym. Hampton is one of the top prospects in the area as a rising sophomore at Evansville Bosse. The 6’6″ forward has so much upside as a versatile two-way threat that can toggle between the 3 and the 4. We are excited to see Hampton play again at our upcoming Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

Hampton is a forward that we have been high on even before played a single varsity game for Evansville Bosse, so it was not a hard decision to name him as a player to watch here. This summer, Hampton is expected to make a big jump as his role with the Bulldogs increases from being a role player, to a first or second option at times. He is a 6’6 power forward that has some sneaky athleticism and bounce to his game. Hampton has the ability to stretch the floor while also using his size and length well around the basket when mismatches present themselves.

The one and only freshman that is on the watchlist comes from Evansville Bosse High School, versatile forward Ethan Hampton. One of the few freshman prospects that is getting true varsity time, Hampton is a long and lanky prospect that has some sneaky athleticism and bounce to his game. Hampton has the ability to stretch the floor while also using his size and length well around the basket when mismatches present themselves. He will do some good things at the Fishers Tournament.

Versatile Freshman Forward out of Evansville Bosse does nothing but produce every time I’ve seen him. He’s wise beyond his years on the floor. He’s a player that knows his role on the team and excels at it. He’s a long and lanky forward that plays with a high motor and a high IQ that can impact the game on both sides of the ball without having to score. He’s become a a legit rim protector for the Bosse Bulldogs while also being a high level rebounder. Defensively he competes when he guards the ball. Hes a fluid athlete that moves his feet well on the perimeter. Offensively he doesn’t force anything. He’s a good cutter off the ball while also being a reliable shooter in the corner.

Evansville Bosse High School expects to have this freshman step in right away and make an instant impact. We had a chance to see him with the Bulldogs over the summer some and he certainly fight in as a versatile, athletic, 6’5″ forward. Hampton has the ability to stretch the floor while also using his size and length well around the basket when mismatches present themselves. He is one of the top young prospects in the greater Evansville area.
