Ethan was at his best attacking the paint during his matchup with Start Strong in the 15U division. He ran the floor well in transition, turning hustle into easy scoring opportunities, and repeatedly finished through contact for tough and-one baskets. He also converted consistently from the free-throw line whenever he earned trips there. On the defensive end, Ethan showcased his versatility by guarding both perimeter players and post players effectively. His lateral quickness allows him to stay in front of guards, while his strength enables him to battle with bigger opponents inside.

A catch-and-shoot specialist with good size on the perimeter, Alcock was a prospect from southern Indiana that we had heard a good deal about heading into Sunday’s event. The 6’2″ guard from Seymour High School has a long, lean build and definitely looks smooth as a spot-up shooter on the perimeter. It will be interesting to see how he factors into the Owls’ rotation early in his high school career.

There have been a good number of impressive young prospects coming up in southern Indiana lately. Alcock, at Seymour High School, projects to be one of the top freshmen in the area this coming season. We look forward to catching more of the 6’1″ guard in early September.
