Toughest Sectional - Sectional 42 @ Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter High School

When every single team in a Sectional field has an above .500 record in the regular season, it's pretty easy to name them the toughest Sectional, and that is exactly what we are doing for Sectional 42. When looking at this group, they have the Class 2A runner-up from a season ago in University, who is certainly one of the favorites in the state tournament to once again make it back to the finals. Park Tudor and Ritter are two teams with a lot of talented guys on them, while Monrovia and Covenant Christian are two very tough wildcards. Riverside is the most intriguing team out of the group, as they may have the most wins, but they did not play any team in Sectional 42 in the regular season. Regardless, every game in this Sectional, you are going to have to earn it, as there is not a single "bye game." University is probably the favorite here due to the experience advantage in this group.

Under-the-Radar Sectional - Sectional 47 @ North Knox High School

If Sectional 42 did not have every single team enter the postseason with an above .500 record, Sectional 47 would easily be the next toughest because man, this is going to be a dog fight from start to finish. Both Linton and Sullivan will come into this one as the favorites but teams like Eastern Greene and South Knox have proven that they can beat teams in this Sectional like they proved in the regular season. West Vigo, who has one of the better regular season records in this group, is a true wild card with them 0-3 against teams in this Sectional group. Sullivan got the best draw out of the teams here with them having the best path to make it to Saturday but on the top half of the bracket, the group of Linton, Eastern Greene, and South Knox will have to grind it out to make it to the championship. In the end, you should see a rematch of Sullivan and Linton, with Miners having won the first meeting of the season 58-50.
