Don’t let his size fool you, Loring plays much bigger than his 5’10” frame. He is very strong which allows him to play through contact off of the dribble and finish against size at the end of his drives. Loring also has some pretty explosive athleticism and gets great elevation on his jump shots. Look for him to put up some big time offensive numbers at Eastern Hancock High School this winter.

We had the opportunity to see Loring and Eastern Hancock High School play at the Charlie Hughes Showcase in June and came away very imrpessed. Like several of these top east central Indiana prospects, Loring won’t wow you with his physical measurables. However, he is an explosive athlete who gets excellent elevation on his jump shot and can rise up to finish at the end of his drives. He averaged 13.2 points per game as a junior and could really breakout as one of the top players in the area as a senior. Loring was 40-109 (36.7%) from three-point range last season.

We had been aware of Loring for a little while simply from seeing the numbers he put up at Eastern Hancock High School. However, we recently saw him play for the first time in person at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. Another smaller guard, Loring makes up for his size with an impressive pop of athleticism at the end of his drives. He gets great elevation on his jump shots and can get up to finish against size around the basket. Loring put up 13.2 points per game as a junior while shooting 40-109 (36.7%) from beyond the arc.
