Expert Analysis

At some point you simply have to let the skill and production tell the story. Ridgway is a 6’6″ left-handed forward from Sullivan High School that is a proven three-point shooter. He also possess impressive physical strength and the ability to score on the block, but his upside is obviously connected to his catch-and-shoot ability. That was on full display recently at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. Scholarship programs across all levels that need a stretch 4-man should at least get eyes on this under-the-radar prospect playing with DistinXion in July.

of Sullivan. The skilled inside-out threat has made the game look easy during June scoring at a high clip and with great efficiency. Big time left handed prospect that scores the ball in a variety of different ways. Good size and frame that plays with patience on the block exploiting mismatches on smaller defenders. Excellent cutter off the ball with athleticism that pops and has the ability to play above the rim. Really nice middle game where he can face up and drive closeouts or hit the midrange jumper. Has shown a consistent three-point shot. Effortless release with good range. Has all the tools to be a game changer on the defensive end of the floor. Fluid athlete with his size to guard all five positions at the high school level. Aggressive on the passing lanes looking to turn defensive into offense in a hurry.

showed why he is one of the state biggest stock risers. The 6’7” 2027 Wing out of Sullivan put up big time numbers in the win over Boonville on Sunday at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. He’s an effortless scorer with a high motor. He’s inside-out versatile scorer that uses his body to create advantages. Really good in the mid post facing up with the ability to use his height and shoot over the top or use his skillset to put it on the floor and finish at the rim. Fluid athlete that handles it well and showed his ability to shoot from the perimeter off the dribble and off the catch.

Admittedly, we only watch a couple of minutes of Ridgeway and his Sullivan High School team on Friday evening at Westfield. However, he absolutely dominated the stretch that we did see. The 6’7″ left-handed forward knocked in three three-point shots in as many possessions capping off the incredible individual run with a tough one trailing the play in transition. His offensive versatility and skill level, paired with his size and strength, makes him a very intriguing prospect across essentially all levels.

My second time seeing the talented 2027 wing/forward out of Sullivan and he put together two of the more impressive showings at the Barr-Reeve Summer Shootout.

is a skilled 6’7” stud that impacts the game in both ends of the floor. Fluid athlete with a physical frame that showed his scoring prowess from all three levels. Knocked down multiple 3’s with a smooth left handed release. Really good in iso situations using his size to his advantage. Versatile defender that looked to jump passing lanes. Was really good in transition finishing above the rim multiple times. As skilled as any forward in Southwest Indiana and will put up big numbers for Sullivan in his senior season.

Smooth inside-out left handed forward with as intriguing of a skillset as any player at the shootout. Has the ability to play a variety of different roles depending on his matchup. Bigger defenders he can take to the perimeter as well as smaller defenders he can take them on the block and score. Fluid athlete with good playmaking ability at 6’7”. Switchable defender with rim protecting abilities and rebounds his position.

The skill level of this 6’7″ left-handed forward should continue to attract the attention of college coaches into the summer months. Ridgway showed off a little bit of everything that he can do offensively in a win for DistinXion 17u on Saturday. He finished with 22 points in the contest we watched while knocking down a couple of three-point shots, driving it left from the perimeter, and using his size/strength to finish through smaller defenders around the basket.

Look for Ridgway to be a stock-riser coming up in our Class of 2027 prospect rankings. The 6’6″ left-handed forward is very skilled both away from the basket and around the rim. He hit four three-point shots on his way to a game-high 25 points while also pulling down 6 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists as Sullivan defeated Marshall (IL) 74-56.

Sullivan High School has two very, very good big men. Ridgway, a 6’7″ junior, is one of them that will give the Golden Arrows the best front line in Class 2A this season. Ridgway put up 13.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game as a sophomore. The left-handed forward is a strong, athletic finisher around the basket and continues to expand his skill level. He has flashed the ability to stretch the floor and attack the basket off of the bounce some as well. We think he could continue to climb our rankings.
