One of the most underrated freshmen in terms of statewide notoriety, Breeden put up 14.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game last season at Evansville Mater Dei High School. The 6’6″ athletic wing/forward shot an impressive 40-106 (37.7%) from three-point range showcasing his ability to stretch the floor. Breeden might be an even better baseball prospect, but he has a very high upside on the hardwood as well. He made the jump from our Watch List all of the way up to #20 in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings.

Cole is a silky smooth sophomore wing that really has a chance to be special. Versatile scorer that puts the ball in the basket in a variety of different ways. His skill set at 6’6” makes him a matchup nightmare for anybody trying to guard him. He’s a high IQ player with the ball in his hands that doesn’t get tunnel vision to just score. His potential as a passer makes him one of the best talents in Southwest Indiana.

Multi-sport athlete that is a high level prospect in baseball, Breeden is a smooth offensive player with a deep bag. Good positional size and skill where he can post smaller defenders while taking bigger defenders on the perimeter. Really good shooter with deep range. Plays at a methodical pace and uses angles well to get to his spot.

Baseball very well be Breeden’s path forward when it comes to college, but it won’t be for a lack of skill on the hardwood. The talented 6’4″ wing/forward averaged 14.3 points per game as a freshman at Evansville Mater Dei. Most impressively, he knocked in 40-106 (37.7%) from three-point range. Breeden is definitely one we look forward to watching more.

As I sat down to write this, I admittedly didn’t know that Breeden was just a freshman. Now I like him even more. The 6’4” wing from Evansville Mater Dei High School scored 12 points in the first game of the day which included a couple of three-point shots. Then, he backed it up with essentially the exact same production in game two. His fluid athleticism and versatility at a young age is very, very impressive. I assume we will see him at the varsity level right away this winter.
