One of the youngest prospects attending camp, Brody Overton Brody Overton 6'5" | PF IN of Evansville Mater Dei is a high potential forward that already has a big defensive impact on the floor and continues to become more skilled on the offensive end. Mobile big man that blocks shots and rebounds at a high level. Offensively more perimeter oriented with a smooth jumpshot, but has also continued to improved around the basket with a jump hook. Expected to be a varsity contributor from Day 1. Will have to add weight, but is starting off with a solid base skillset. Once he gets acclimated to the speed and physicality of the varsity game, he will be a game changer throughout his career.

We’ve written about a lot of the talented incoming freshmen in the Evansville area. However, Overton is arguably the one with the most long term upside. He has outstanding positional size as a 6’6″ wing/forward with a versatile skill set that projects very well. Look for him to factor into the equation right away at Evansville Mater Dei. He is definitely a Top 25 prospect in Indiana’s Class of 2030.

The Evansville area is starting to produce a good deal of young talent in the current rising freshman and sophomores classes. Overton should be one to watch right away at the varsity level for what will be a pretty good Evansville Mater Dei team. The 6’5″ wing/forward had a great summer with D1 Indiana 14u and checks a lot of boxes both in terms of physical tools and skill level. He will be one to get eyes on at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.

A long and lanky forward with as much untapped potential as any 2030 prospect in the Evansville Area. Skilled inside-out forward that despite in relatively thin frame, he does a good job staying on balance. More comfortable facing up rather than a back to the basket scorer. Has a nice touch from midrange with the ability to stretch the floor out to the three-point line. Fluid athlete for his age and has all the tools to be a big time defender. Already controls the paint with his shot blocking ability. Could end up a special talent in the area.
