this weekend. Wired to score with good athleticism and plays at his own pace. Doesn’t force the issue. Takes what the defense gives him and does it efficiently. Really nice three-point shooter with good range and clean stroke. Also showed the ability to get his midrange pull-up. Knocked down several contested jumpers with a soft touch. Quality defender that always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Pushes the pace on misses well playing with his eyes up. His versatility is a handful for teams to match up with and will continue to a scoring threat from all over the floor.

Indiana Reign Supreme 17u went 3-1 over the weekend at The Stage. Garner, a long, athletic, 6’3″ wing from South Putnam High School, was a massive part of that success. He averaged 18 points and 5 rebounds per game throughout the event. Garner’s versatile skill set makes him an intriguing prospect to follow throughout this spring and summer.

Lengthy guard that impacts the game on both ends on the floor. Aggressive defender that uses his length to jump passing lanes to turn defense to offense. Really good help side defender that has good timing rotating and active as a shot blocker from the weak side. Offensively he has a versatile skillset with his size and length that allows him to play through contact and finish at the basket. Really good catch a shoot guy from the perimeter. Has shown he can hit tough contested shots as well as creating his own shot off the dribble if taken off the line.

Garner caught our attention several times over the spring and summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit with Indiana Reign Supreme. The versatile 6’2″ wing can stretch the floor as a catch-and-shoot threat while also acting as a secondary playmaker off of the bounce. His length and sneaky athleticism allow him to finish at the end of his drives as well. We look forward to seeing him at “The Expo.”

We had the opportunity to see Garner for the first time this spring and summer at a couple of Prep Hoops Circuit events. The versatile 6’2″ guard was consistently one of the top performers for Indiana Reign Supreme. Garner, a rising junior at South Putnam High School, is a very good catch-and-shoot threat from the perimeter, but also displayed the skill level to create his own shot off of the dribble and the athleticism to finish at the end of his drives. That well-rounded offensive ability will eventually make him an intriguing college prospect to follow. He is definitely an under-the-radar name to keep an eye on over in western Indiana.

. At 6’2, Garner is a hybrid wing/forward with his ability to play both inside and out at any time. He is a strong rebounder that uses his lanky frame well on the boards as well as on the defensive end. He is still growing as a player but is always playing hard when on the floor.

Indiana Reign Supreme 16u was the only purely Indiana team at the event this past weekend. Naturally, that drew me to this group a couple of times even though I had seen them play already the previous weekend at The Stage as well. Garner turned in a dominant stretch when I first got over to their court on Saturday and continued to play well throughout the weekend leading his team to a 3-1 record. The 6’2″ guard from South Putnam High School is very versatile. His outside shot looks good, but he was especially effective slicing his way to the basket off of the dribble and finishing around the rim with either hand. Garner was active on the glass as well. Intriguing long-term prospect to keep an eye on.

may have been the one I was most impressed with. At a lanky 6’1, Garner was extremely productive on the floor when it came to rebounding and scoring off the ball via in the cutting lanes. His length was used very well on the defensive end and he showed his ability to knockdown the three ball as well. I like is potential as he develops more.

I liked the length Garner has on both ends of the floor as defensively he used it to contest shots defensively and secure rebounds while offensively he had a variety of extension finishes at the basket. Garner liked using the euro step to finish at the rim. Garner also had a key putback layup late in the game when his team made a surge to draw within a possession.

The ability to get open and make plays without the ball in your hands is something that many young prospects struggle with. However, Garner’s constant movement away from the ball and ability to read screening action proved very useful in a 5-on-5 setting. The South Putnam High School guard scored on a couple of back cuts and made a tough pull-up jump shot in the mid-range. He is a versatile offensive threat.
