We had the chance to see Hudson earlier this spring with Grand Park Premier and now again on Tuesday with his Eastern Greene team at the Whiteland Shootout. The 6’1″ guard has so much offensive skill. He is an excellent three-point shooter which he had on display making a couple of deep, tough ones off of the ballscreen. Hudson also is a very good passer hitting open teammates consistently. There will be a lot on his plate this season as a junior to carry the offensive load, but he has the talent to do so.

Hudson has been a consistent top performer this spring for Grand Park Premier 16u on the Pro16 Circuit proving that he is one of the more talented pure scorers and shot-makers in the class. He has had two excellent seasons already at Eastern Greene High School, but now is proving it at a higher level through the spring. The 6’1″ guard averaged 15.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game as a sophomore while shooting 61-149 (40.9%) from three-point range.

My first time getting a look at the elite 2028 sharpshooter out of Eastern Greene. He’s an active offensive player that showed his full skillset. Capable of playing on or off the ball, he was excellent creating shots off the dribble for himself. He was able to get in the lane and stop on a dime while rising up over defenders. He showed craftiness handling the ball when navigating getting in the lane. When it got to the shooting portion and live scrimmage, Kyan showed why he is getting the attention as one of the top shooters in the 2028 class in Indiana.

One of the better scoring guards in the Indiana in-state class of 2028, Kyan Hudson Kyan Hudson 6'1" | SG Eastern Greene | 2028 State IN has the ability to take over games in a hurry. Known for his shooting ability, Hudson is capable of playing on the ball and has become a really nice playmaker for his teammates with nice court vision. Has a shiftiness to his game where he can get in the lane and if the defense steps over to help he’s a willing passer.

Hudson has been a big part of Grand Park Premier 16u’s strong start to the spring. He has shown off his true combo guard skills having had some big scoring performances mixed in with strong showings as a playmaker. The 6’1″ guard from Eastern High School is highly skilled both as a shooter and as a passer. Look for him to continue to solidify himself as one of the top all-around guards in Indiana’s Class of 2028.

The Eastern Greene Thunderbirds have put together a really solid season up to this point in the year and big part of that is the play of sophomore guard Kyan Hudson Kyan Hudson 6'1" | SG Eastern Greene | 2028 State IN . At this current part of the season, Hudson is averaging 14.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. Hudson is a high IQ player that competes hard on both ends of the floor while being a high-volume scorer, as well. He is one to keep an eye on the final month of the season and beyond.

A player who seems to have all the tools in the backcourt is Kyan Hudson Kyan Hudson 6'1" | SG Eastern Greene | 2028 State IN out of Eastern Greene. As the son of a coach, his basketball IQ was on full display at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. He has a wide frame, competes well on the defensive end, and can make plays happen on offense. Hudson is definitely a player to watch over the next few years at Eastern Greene.

Kyan Hudson Kyan Hudson 6'1" | SG Eastern Greene | 2028 State IN is a versatile offensive scorer that does it from all three level. Confident shooter from behind the arc with a smooth, high release and deep range. Can shoot it off the catch or off the dribble. If the defense pressures up he has a quick first step that gets him to his spot where he can rise up in the midrange and hit contested shots or get all the way to the basket. Really good off-ball cutter that knows how to read screens and get himself open. Aggressive to score but is a willing passer and looks to make the right play.

This was our first opportunity to see Hudson play live and the 6’1″ guard from Eastern Greene High School really impressed us. Hudson is an excellent shooter from beyond the arc, but also has enough ball handling ability to serve as a secondary creator within the offense. He has a projectable athletic frame with a little bit of length. Hudson was the standout in a tough loss for Grand Park Premier Pro16 15u. Intriguing long-term prospect.
