Lanesville simply couldn’t get much going on Friday night. They missed some good looks to start the game and then turnovers mounted as Corydon Central turned up the defensive pressure. However, Pearce was able to find some individual success. The talented 6’3″ sophomore win finished with 18 points and 7 rebounds in the Eagles’ season-opener. He should put up some big numbers throughout this season.

The player that impressed me most on Team 7 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was 2028 guard/forward

. What stood out most about the Lanesville prospect was his toughness and aggressiveness, as he consistently showed a willingness to compete on the glass at a high level. He created multiple second-chance opportunities for his team, was mobile on both ends of the floor, and recorded a nice block in the game I watched.

Small school guard with a skill set that impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He isn’t the quickest or most athletic, but does a good job using his body to affect plays. Defensively he is one play ahead with his high IQ. Always seemed to be on top when stepping over to either take a charge, block a shot, or jump a passing lane to take a steal the other way. Offensively, his versatile skill set really pops. On balance three-point shooter off the catch with a quick release. Showed the ability to drive close outs and finish in a variety of different ways, whether it was a floater in the lane or finishing all the way at the basket. Plays an unselfish style that’s not out hunting shots. He’s a willing passer that makes the right read to open teammates when the defense helps off to him.
2024-2025 Stats: 13.6 points | 3.7 rebounds | 3 assists | 1.3 steals | 34% 3FG

We were able to see Pearce a lot over the course of the spring and summer as Era Elite 15u was a consistent top team on the Prep Hoops Circuit and various other events in the area. The 6’2″ wing is so versatile on the offensive end and causes consistent matchup problems with his combination of size, strength, athleticism, and skill level. Pearce, a rising sophomore at Lanesville High School, is as productive statistically as any player in his class.

The combination of size, strength, athleticism, and skill of this 6’2″ guard from Lanesville High School continues to impress us. Pearce looked really good in the Firecracker Classic 15u Championship Game on Sunday slicing his way to the basket off of the dribble, finishing in transition, and making a couple of catch-and-shoot looks from the perimeter. He ended up making the game-winning layup with 1.6 seconds remaining and scored a team-leading 16 points.

Was a part of a dynamic duo in team’s big win in the early morning Sunday game. Stands at 6’2 but plays with a lengthier presence. Found a really balanced rhythm throughout. Poured in 26 all in various ways. Multiple knock down catch and shoot 3s, went off the dribble to hit from midrange, and got to the cup on the base or through traffic on straight line drives. Had a big And1 and possesses soft touch on finishes. Shot it at a high clip and was competitively well balanced.

The most consistent producer for one of the best teams at the Queen City Clash, Pearce scored 16, 16, and 12 points in three wins. Unfortunately, Wildcat Select 3SSB left before we got to see ERA Elite 15u take a shot at them. Pearce moves very well in the open floor, has the size and strength to finish around the basket, and rebounds at a high level for his size.

Pearce is the lead wing for the 2028 Era Elite. He plays fearlessly when attacking the rim not bothered by contact. His potential as an on or off-ball scorer is noted with the way he controls the ball and draws defenders, as well as hits open shots. He can grow as into a seriously tough two-way player with his strength and speed on the perimeter.

This 6’2″ wing from Lanesville High School was a consistent force for ERA Elite 15u on their way to a 3-0 weekend at the Queen City Clash. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see them going up against Wildcat Select 3SSB to finish off the weekend. Pearce used his size, strength, and athleticism to consistently finish at the rim and was especially effective in transition. He averaged 14.7 points per game for ERA Elite on the weekend.

Pearce was another one of those southern Indiana prospects that we mentioned earlier as he also suited up for Team 4 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. The Lanesville High School prospect has some impressive physical size for a young prospect. At 6’2″ with some length, he already has the requisite positional size to play a guard spot. He was a willing rebounder from the perimeter as well. There is definitely some upside to work with over the coming years.
