You can always count on Pearce to bring it regardless of the setting. He put up big numbers as a freshman and sophomore at Lanesville High School, has been consistently productive on the summer grassroots circuit, and was a top performer on Sunday at Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo. The 6’4″ wing uses his versatility to his advantage. He is a capable outside shooter, but really excels as a driver. Pearce loves to utilize his size and strength to punish smaller defenders off of the bounce and score at the end of his drives. Look for him to put up some big time scoring and rebounding numbers as a junior at Lanesville.

Nolin Pearce Nolin Pearce 6'4" | SG/SF Lanesville | 2028 State IN makes a high impact on defense, where he is quick to read, react and diagnose in transition, making a couple of steals in the first game. Uses off-hand well to score, drives to the basket well.  Long-limbed player who flashes good speed.

In the parts of camp I got to see Nolin Pearce Nolin Pearce 6'4" | SG/SF Lanesville | 2028 State IN , he was really good. 6’4” wing that plays at his own pace and can impact the game in so many different ways. Really good in isolation where he can use his size to create mismatches. Knock down shooter that can also put the ball on the floor and get to his spots. Unselfish teammate with nice court vision and willing passer to make the right play.

Versatile shooting guard with good size. Nolin Pearce Nolin Pearce 6'4" | SG/SF Lanesville | 2028 State IN of Lanesville is a small school guard that impacts the game in a variety of different ways. He’s a double-double threat every time he steps on the floor. Big time scorer that is a three level scorer at the 1A level. Knows how to use his size to create mismatches. Comfortable playing out of the mid-post or on the ball as a dual threat scorer and facilitator. He’s a high IQ guard that makes winning plays

Per usual it was Pearce’s size on the wing that caused matchup problems for the opposing defense. He was the beneficiary of several buckets at the back end of the press break against their full court pressure, but he also had success slashing and driving from the perimeter in the half court. Pearce is an excellent interior finisher once he gets to the rim. He helped lead a big Indiana Elite Team Crossroads 16u comeback late in the game, but it wasn’t quite enough. He finished with 22 points to lead all scorers.

We had the chance to watch Pearce play both on Saturday night and Sunday morning. The 6’3″ wing delivered as he normally does showcasing his offensive versatility. Pearce is a capable shooter from three-point range, he knocked down a few on the weekend, but is especially effective off of the bounce where he can use his positional size and strength against smaller defenders. He is really hard to deal with off of the dribble and when he gets around the basket. Lanesville has a good one in this rising junior prospect.

Lanesville simply couldn’t get much going on Friday night. They missed some good looks to start the game and then turnovers mounted as Corydon Central turned up the defensive pressure. However, Pearce was able to find some individual success. The talented 6’3″ sophomore win finished with 18 points and 7 rebounds in the Eagles’ season-opener. He should put up some big numbers throughout this season.

The player that impressed me most on Team 7 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was 2028 guard/forward Nolin Pearce Nolin Pearce 6'4" | SG/SF Lanesville | 2028 State IN . What stood out most about the Lanesville prospect was his toughness and aggressiveness, as he consistently showed a willingness to compete on the glass at a high level. He created multiple second-chance opportunities for his team, was mobile on both ends of the floor, and recorded a nice block in the game I watched.

Small school guard with a skill set that impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He isn’t the quickest or most athletic, but does a good job using his body to affect plays. Defensively he is one play ahead with his high IQ. Always seemed to be on top when stepping over to either take a charge, block a shot, or jump a passing lane to take a steal the other way. Offensively, his versatile skill set really pops. On balance three-point shooter off the catch with a quick release. Showed the ability to drive close outs and finish in a variety of different ways, whether it was a floater in the lane or finishing all the way at the basket. Plays an unselfish style that’s not out hunting shots. He’s a willing passer that makes the right read to open teammates when the defense helps off to him.

We were able to see Pearce a lot over the course of the spring and summer as Era Elite 15u was a consistent top team on the Prep Hoops Circuit and various other events in the area. The 6’2″ wing is so versatile on the offensive end and causes consistent matchup problems with his combination of size, strength, athleticism, and skill level. Pearce, a rising sophomore at Lanesville High School, is as productive statistically as any player in his class.
