University had an unexpected transfer take place late into their season which will allow some players to step up now. One of those players that has been really good for University all season long and now will be asked to carry even more of the wight is senior guard Josh McGee Josh McGee 6'2" | PG/SG University | 2026 State IN . At 6’2, McGee has averaged 10.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists for University, being a well-balanced player for them in all areas. You can watch him this week when University opens up Sectional play vs Monrovia.

University wasn’t going away quietly and it was a couple of late buckets by McGee that helped to keep the Trailblazers in the game. He hit a deep three-point shot that cut it to two in the final moments, but it wasn’t enough as they fell to Liberty Christian 69-65. McGee, an unsigned senior point guard, had 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in the game.

The athleticism and strength of this prospect out of the backcourt really shines. McGee is explosive when attacking the basket, strong as a finisher, and proved himself on Tuesday as a very good rebounder from the perimeter. The 6’2″ senior guard finished with 15 points and 8 rebounds for University as they defeated Cardinal Ritter 77-62.

Josh is a physical senior guard out of University that had a big summer playing for INB Elite. He uses his frame and athleticism really well getting downhill and is able to finish through contact. He’s an impact player on both ends of the floor that is looking to make a play every possession.

Crafty, defensive minded guard that impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He’s a pest defensively as he pressures full court and constantly uses his active hands to poke at the ball. He’s really good at anticipating plays and being at the right spot to create turnovers. Offensively he plays with a ton of confidence. He’s the kind of player you put the ball in his hands and he’s gonna make something good happen. He thrives on getting in the lane and creating for himself as well others. Shows a soft touch and love shooting the high floater. Crafty passer in pick and roll situations. He has the ability to throw a teammate into an open look. Has a nice looking three-point shot, but isn’t a player that settles. His game revolves around getting paint touches.

Another player for University that could make a case as the leader of this team, McGee is a true combo guard with strong size on the ball with scoring and facilitating ability. McGee gets downhill in a hurry, is an excellent finisher around the rim with both hands, and displays a real athletic pop as a finisher. Coming to University after transferring from Indy Metro.

A lightning quick point guard, McGee gets end-to-end with the ball in his hands as well as anyone in the rising senior class. He does a great job of consistently getting paint touches, is excellent in transition, and has the explosiveness to elevate and finish consistently with both hands at the end of his drives. McGee will play with reigning Class 2A State Runner-Up University after transferring from Indianapolis Metropolitan.
