The unsigned senior out of Cardinal Ritter (IN) was getting to any spot on the floor that he wanted on Friday night for IMCA. Quick first step and a guard that welcomes contact and played through it well finished at the rim all night. No wasted movements. Caught the ball on the wing and ripped through and was going. Scored efficiently in the midrange rising up over defenders multiple times in the second half when he really got going. Defensively he’s capable of guarding multiple positions due to his strength. When he’s engaged, he can truly be a difference maker on the defensive end of the floor.

We watched Cardinal Ritter’s second game of the day which was an 83-68 loss to Blackhawk Christian. Wade scored 11 points in that contest. However, the talented unsigned senior guard poured in 25 points earlier in the day to help lead an impressive comeback for Ritter as they defeated New Palestine 70-66. Wade is a big time scorer out of the backcourt.

It was an incredibly impressive offensive performance for this senior guard on Tuesday night. Cardinal Ritter could never get over the hump against University, falling 77-62 to the defending Class 2A State Runner-Up, but it certainly wasn’t for a lack of scoring from Wade. He poured in 33 points, consistently getting to the rim and knocking down mid-range jump shots, to lead all scorers in the loss.

Wade is a prospect we’ve remained pretty high on here at Prep Hoops Indiana over the last year or so. He is a capable catch-and-shoot threat with some legitimate scoring chops. In his third year of varsity action, the 6’2″ guard averaged a career-best 12.6 points per game last season and should see his offensive role grow even more as a senior. Small college programs should continue to monitor him as a high-upside, two-way prospect.

We had the opportunity to watch Cardinal Ritter and this 6’2″ junior guard consistently stood out. He had a big game in the Indianapolis City Tournament playing against Christel House where he was on fire from three-point range that really solidified his spot inside the Top 150. Wade averaged 12.6 points per game and proved himself as a very good perimeter defender as well.

It was truly a breakout night for Wade despite the loss. Cardinal Ritter fell 80-71 to Christel House, but this 6’2″ guard shot the lights out finishing with 27 points to lead all scorers. Whether it was a pull-up jump shot off of a ballscreen, a quick release catch-and-shoot three, or the heave he hit from the opposite free throw line going into halftime it just seemed like everything was going in for Wade. He really showed some tight ball handling skills as well as he used a left-to-right crossover consistently to create his own shot. Definitely a stock-rising guard to keep an eye on here in the Class of 2026.
