Preseason Small School Honorable Mention All State

The season is here for non football programs in Oklahoma and right around the corner for the rest of the state. With that in mind, here's a look ahead at the players who are expected to be the “best of the best” in Class 4A, 3A, 2A, A and B. He has the Trojans off to a 3-0 start this season.   Danney Billingsley, 6'1 2024 Guard, Earlsboro - A physical and crafty scorer, the senior recently broke the 1,000 point mark this past week. Last year Earlsboro were only a game away from State in Class B, and are already 3-0 on the young season.   Ashton Bierce, 6'1 2024 Guard, Stonewell - After scoring nearly 19 a game as a junior, Bierce already has the Class A Longhorns off to a 4-0 start.   [player_tooltip player_id='1625041' first='Devin' last='Brown'], 6'6 Wing-Forward, Calera -One of the top athletes from the small town ranks, Brown is a dynamic game changing force in the paint on both ends of the court.   [player_tooltip player_id='2241904' first='CJ' last='Benard'], 6'4 2025 Guard, Varnum - The rising junior is one of the top hidden gems in the state. He's athletic, skilled and is one of the prospects on this list that could find himself on the First or Second All State team by the end of the year.   [player_tooltip player_id='2223704' first='Chase' last='Clark'], 6'1 2026 Guard, Okay - As a freshman, Clark averaged 15 a game for the Class A semifinalists. Look for that number to rise in his second year as he matures into even more of a dynamic off the ball scorer.   [player_tooltip player_id='1295675' first='Braeden' last='Clinton'], 6'0 2024 Guard, Riverfield - The 918 standout made a State Tournament appearance as a sophomore, and already is 2-0 this season. Clinton is a quality shooter from deep thanks to good fundamentals, which extends out in his ball fakes, hesitations and giant killer shots at the rim. The senior will now have even more scoring responsibilities after the graduation of his older brother.   [player_tooltip player_id='2250713' first='Jarren' last='Cargil'], 6'1 2024 Guard, Liberty - An athletic guard, Cargil scored 20 a game as a junior and helped the Tigers to a Class A State Tournament appearance.   [player_tooltip player_id='1579596' first='Trayden' last='Chambers'], 6'7 2025 Forward, Dale - The post prospect gives the Pirates an extra edge around the rim, as he's active on the glass and a physical finisher.   [player_tooltip player_id='1613564' first='Aidan' last='Clark'], 6'6 2026 Wing-Forward, Inola - A physical post prospect with good upside, Clark made an impact as a freshman for the Longhorns. With improving skill and feel, he'll have a chance to be a versatile offensive weapon for an Inola team gunning to make State in 4A. He helped McLoud to 21 wins last year and should have them positioned to make another Area run, with a trip to State attainable.   [player_tooltip player_id='2218098' first='Jashawn' last='Davison'], 5'11 2025 Guard, Wagoner - One of the quickest guards in the small town ranks, Davison is a blur in transition and can get downhill on anyone in the halfcourt. Wagoner won 17 games last year, but are looking to make a deeper playoff run after bowing at Regionals.   [player_tooltip player_id='1640908' first='Chance' last='Davis'], 6'2 2025 Guard, Millwood - The sharpshooter has been a big part of back to back to Class 3A title teams for the Falcons, especially in clutch moments.   [player_tooltip player_id='1625042' first='Diezel' last='Davis'], 5'10 2025 Guard, Okay - The smaller guard stretches the floor with a quick release, and uses that gravity to create space for himself and his teammates. Last season Okay were Class A runner ups, their talented returnees will likely have them back at the State Title and a chance to claim the Gold Ball.   [player_tooltip player_id='1625050' first='Jason' last='Dodson'], 6'3 2024 Guard, Dickinson -A psychical and powerful finisher, Dodson is a handful on drives. Especially in transition, his big body frame allows him to shrug off contact around the rim.   [player_tooltip player_id='1625043' first='Elijah' last='Garcia'], 5'10 2025 Guard, Crooked Oak - Garcia has the look of a game changer after viewings at recent scrimmages and team camps this past summer. The long range bomber, always has swagger off the dribble. He'll be a key part of Crooked Oak's attempt to return to the Class 3A State Tournament.   Elijah Green, 6'0 2024 Guard, Classen SAS - A returning double digit scorer for a 18 win Comets team. Green is a gridiron standout, but his experience and athleticism will be crucial for a Classen SAS team that will have a chance to compete in 4A. Edwards should help the Royals navigate a deep Class 3A.   [player_tooltip player_id='1293572' first='Jase' last='Edwards'], 6'2 2024 Guard, Tecumseh - One of the top scorers in the state that people don't know enough about, Edwards average 21.6 a game last season. He's an atheltic scoring guard that seemingly glides with how he moves in transition and as a half court slasher.   [player_tooltip player_id='1475986' first='Kobe' last='Freeman'], 5'10 2025 Guard, Purcell - Freeman is the complete package as a controlled table setter for his teammates, who also can score on the ball or off it. After coming up just short of the Class 3A State Tournament as a sophomore, Freeman and his Dragon teammates have the challenge of now competing in Class 4A.   Hudson Hamar, 6'1 2024 Guard, Seiling - Averaged nearly 17 a game as a junior on a Seiling squad that reached the Class A semifinals. Hamar is strong off the bounce, capable of taking contact or avoiding to be an effective finisher at the basket.   Jerry Hernandez, 6'5 2024 Wing-Forward, Texhoma - The physical prospect nearly averaged a double-double last year for the Panhandle squad that made a trip to this Big House for the Class A State Tournament.   [player_tooltip player_id='1796300' first='Brett' last='Howry'], 6'3 2025 Guard, Garber - A flamethrower from beyond the arc, he'll be looking to improve on Garber's 19 wins from last year.   [player_tooltip player_id='1625114' first='Nate' last='Hidalgo'], 6'7 2025 Wing-Forward, Hooker - With sneaky athleticism and skill, the prospect from the Panhandle has a chance to be one of the breakout performers in Oklahoma's junior class.   [player_tooltip player_id='1482839' first='Deken' last='Jones'], 6'1 2024 Guard, Dale - One of the many pieces that makes the back to back 2A State Champions greater than the sum of their parts, Jones is an unselfish, experienced guard. He's a quality finisher at the rim and gets after it on the defensive end.   [player_tooltip player_id='1393777' first='Jyson' last='Kim'], 6'5 2025 Guard, Cascia Hall - A skilled scorer, Kim had the Commandos knocking on the door of the Class 3A State Tournament last year. Now after a productive summer, the tall scoring guard looks ready to make a leap.   [player_tooltip player_id='1552384' first='Kaden' last='Leache'], 6'1 2026 Guard, Casady - Productive as a freshman, he's especially strong in the mid-range and from deep. Look for Leache to continue to step up this year as Casady makes their transition to the OSSAA.   [player_tooltip player_id='2140733' first='Dallas' last='Lowe'], 6'0 2027 Guard, Cascia Hall - The only freshman to make this list, the upside is off the charts for the athletic youngster, who could end the year as one of the best scorers in Class 3A.   Davon MacCollister, 6'1 2024 Guard, Ada - Last season the Cougars won 20 games, and ended up just one game away from a State Tournament appearance. The now senior guard scored 15 a game last year for that squad.   [player_tooltip player_id='1552358' first='Jett' last='Mueggenborg'], 6'2 2026 Guard, Okarche - A double digit scorer as a freshman, Mueggenborg can fill it up from distance with a strong feel for the game.   [player_tooltip player_id='2303771' first='KJ' last='Nichols'], 6'3 2024 Guard, McLain - The senior is a two-way force, who averaged 21 points a game last season on a McLain squad that has the look of a darkhorse in 4A. Who especially shines on the defensive end and as an unselifsh connector on the offensive end.   [player_tooltip player_id='1504901' first='Tate' last='Sage'], 6'7 2025 Wing, Weatherford - Sage shares many of the same traits as his brother who also makes this list, but in past viewings he's shot it a tick better from distance. Especially with a developing off the dribble scoring game.   [player_tooltip player_id='1460834' first='Jett' last='Schafer'], 5'10 2025 Guard, Bishop McGuinness - The Irish have a strong rising junior class that could make waves in 4A this year, so narrowing it down to one representative was difficult. Schafer keeps defenders on their heels with his quickness, and a quality mid-range jumper. While also being able to get inside and create for quality looks for his teammates.   [player_tooltip player_id='1482843' first='Malachi' last='Schilreff'], 6'2 2024 Guard, Byng - An all around scorer for the Pirates, Schilreff blends his physical frame with a controlled playing style that allows him to rack up the points efficiently.   [player_tooltip player_id='1552382' first='Quincy' last='Shelton'], 6'0 2026 Guard, Hugo - An elite athlete, Shelton is a physical guard who's football background is apparent on the court. His dynamic play as a freshman helped the Buffaloes to a Class 3A State Tournament appearance.   [player_tooltip player_id='2047075' first='Keisean' last='Shields'], 5'9 2024 Guard, Atoka - Shields started his high school career at Stringtown, where he broke the 1,000 mark and made a Class B State Tournament appearance as a sophomore. He'll finish his high school career forming a quality backcourt for the Wampus Cats. His ability to score in bunches is sure to make him standout, especially with his crafty handle and ability to attack the basket   [player_tooltip player_id='1807982' first='Boxy' last='Wallace'], 6'2 2024 Guard, Community Christian - The Bahamas native guard is an explosive athlete, capable of highlight reel plays around the basket. While a streaky shooter, the talent and upside is there as Wallace and Edwards should combine for a fun "Fire and Ice" duo for the Royals.   [player_tooltip player_id='2344112' first='Jalen' last='Wallace'], 6'1 2024 Guard, Carnegie - The senior point guard scored 13 a game for Carnegie as a junior. Now he'll have a bigger scoring role, while also running the show for the Class A Wildcats   Carson Wiggins, 6'5 2024 Wing, Roland - A top baseball pitcher who is headed to Arkansas, he's also an athletic, high flyer on the hardwood. Wiggins averaged 13 points a game last year and will be a big part of a Rangers squad that is looking to make noise in a competitive Class 3A.   [player_tooltip player_id='1796293' first='Jaden' last='Williams'], 6'2 2025 Guard, Douglass - The sharpshooter and hard nose defender was a key part of Douglass' Class 4A title run last year and should have an even bigger role to play this winter.   [player_tooltip player_id='1783189' first='Isaiah' last='Wilks'], 5'11 2026 Guard, Millwood - After being a key part of a Class 6A State Tournament run as a freshman, the pacey lead guard is now set to be a game changer tempo setter on both ends of the court for the 3A powerhouse Falcons.   [player_tooltip player_id='1406885' first='Lane' last='Womack'], 6'3 2024 Guard, Duke - Womack is a hidden gem and an explosive athlete down in southwestern Oklahoma. As a junior he averaged 15 points a game on a Tigers squad that won 27 games but was one game away from State in Class B.
