The workhorse in the middle continues to deliver for the Pirates. This time with 18 points and 6 rebounds. When Denton slightly cooled off in the second quarter, he kept the pressure applied with post up scores and putbacks. Few teams in Class 2A can match up with Chambers’ physical game, and Dale will turn to him one more time. As the senior aims to finish his career with four State Championship rings.

Chambers has already been to the Big House, three times in fact. Leaving with Gold all three times. He’s looking to become a rare four time State Champion with his prestigious Dale senior class. The big man has always been important, providing rebounding, interior scoring and a dash of perimeter threat for a loaded Dale squad. But he’s shouldered new responsibilities this year as a senior and has flourished. Has been a reliable outside threat in games against Crossings and Marlow. While also giving it to teams in the post. Appears to be a little more agile and mobile this year as well And should be a bruiser with a college level weight program.

Chambers always seems to bring it against Crossings and today was no different. He was the bright spot for Dale, with a 17 point and 9 rebound performance. Was impressive in his tenacity against a Knights squad that has some size. Even stepped out and drained a three. More performances like that will be crucial for Chambers and the Pirates, as they pursue their fourth straight Gold Ball.

is an aggressive big man who can compete with the best on the interior. He makes a clear impact around the rim on both ends with a nonstop motor and great touch on finishes near the rim. I have been very impressed with his ability to serve as a connective playmaker out of the low and mid post. Chambers looks to keep Dale’s dominant run alive on their hopes for a fourth straight 2A state championship.

made an impact in a couple of different areas tonight. He continually played great interior defense and solid perimeter defense, while coming away with a couple of steals. One of these steals led to a 3/4 court pass for an assist. He grabbed several rebounds through the course of the game. He was turning great shot contest into rebounds going the other way. He scored a few times inside and knocked down a couple of free throws. His impact went beyond the box score, with his defense and hustle plays. It was a great game for him that saw him affect the game in multiple ways.

proved to be an incredibly versatile and skilled offensive player throughout the weekend. Although, Chambers was remarkable both inside and outside the lane, his scoring prowess in the mid-range is what stood out the most. Chambers brought an offensive game that extended beyond the paint showing a lot of comfort while popping out for shots on the perimeter. Trayden’s high release above his head made his jumpshot practically unblockable. Solid footwork outside of the lane, Chambers used a jab step to throw his defenders off-balance as he created a variety of opportunities for himself. Good rebounder, capable of consistently securing boards and contributing to his team’s success. With his size and knack for tracking the ball, he shows the potential to become a walking double-double threat. Standing at a solid 6-foot-7, Chambers possesses a build that is suited to benefit him well during his battles in the post at the next level. One of Chambers best attributes was his decision-making skills with the ball out of both the high and low post. He effectively operated with a phenomenal understanding of when to attack off the dribble or distribute the ball to an open teammate.

stood out as one of, if not the most versatile frontcourt prospect of the weekend. His ability to put the ball on the floor for a few dribbles and shoot from outside makes him a good asset to have when wanting to play big due his capabilities at multiple positions from small forward to power forward or center.

While Chambers was productive around the rim, the wide open aspects of AAU basketball allowed him opportunities to display improving aspects of his skillset. The Dale Pirate is continuing to improve as a spot up shooter. And even showed some promise on face up drives after the defensive closed out on him.

and his performance in the semifinals. He was nearly perfect from the field, going 10-12 from the field and absolutely cleaned up in the paint as the Pirates would knock off Crossings Christian to punch their ticket to the TOC title game. Chambers wouldn’t have as much of an impact in the scoring department in the other two games but it doesn’t matter. He did so many other things incredibly well, including a lot of the “dirty work” that big men have to do in the paint. Just a sophomore, Chambers is a name that we’re interested in following the rest of the way.
