in the title game. The junior added eight points in the first half and was also able to alter both shots and passes with his extremely long wingspan. Meely was able to take advantage of his length inside around the rim and converted in the paint. Meely has been very efficient from beyond the arc but against Fairland, his inside game proved to be too much for the Owls.

The potential has always been there for Meely. Based on Saturday’s scrimmages and Tuesday’s game, he’s starting to really achieve that potential. On both days, he shot it very well from corners threes and in the mid-range. Has a massive wingspan to go along with his height, making him effective around the basket. The junior’s first half was limited by foul trouble, but he was a big reason why Dale ran away with it in the second half. Playing disciplined will be key, but the ingredients are there for a breakout junior campaign.

Meely has always passed the eye test. Tall with an even longer wingspan, complete with next level athletic traits. There’s been good moments in grassroots. But playing for a well oiled machine like Dale in high school has led to a quieter individual start to his high school career. Still, he’s been part of two state titles already, and did contribute more this year. The raw athletic tools point to him being a no brainer college prospect. Especially with the flashes of perimeter skills at his size. But now he’ll have to raise his production to more closely match his potential.

True big who can run the floor, protect the rim, and switch out and be a great help defender around the paint as well as the perimeter if needed. Very athletic in both speed and vertical leap. Plays with great energy and is a great team player. Keldan is not only tall but also very long, so he will cover up for many deficiencies on any defense.

Rim Runner. Rim Protector. Rebounder. Has Speed and a quick second jump. Plays with the right attitude, and he can shoot as well. Keldan has great form on his jump shot, can score with any big in any state, but still plays extremely unselfish, which is rare. The kid is Elite, and he was one of the key factors in his team (OK Runners 16U) winning the Oklahoma State Tournament Championship this weekend.

After playing a key role off the bench for the 2A State Champs Pirate, Meely has all the tools to be a breakout player this summer. He jumps off the court with his combination of height, wingspan and even a dash of skill. His raw traits should translate very well to the up and down nature of AAU basketball. With the ability to gain valuable experience as he continues on his prospect journey. Continuing to refine his skill and feel will be crucial to unlock his high potential. And help him accomplish a “junior year leap”.

Meely is a wildcard of a prospect, as the size, athleticism and other physical traits are clearly there. He even has hints of perimeter play that he could possibly be a wing longterm. Starting to become an above the rim finisher in transition. Has earned some minutes for a Dale squad that is loaded with upperclassmen and has the best chemistry in the state. If his feel for the game, especially in the halfcourt, can continue to improve; he’s a prime candidate for a junior year leap. Complete with “where did he come from” talk from across the state.

Intriguing athlete, with a massive wingspan, who is slowly but surely impacting the game more and more for a Dale squad that is deep on experience. Has some perimeter skills as a face up threat in the half court. But seems to really shine when his activity level is up and he’s either crashing the glass or causing havoc on defense. Embracing and staring in his role will add an extra dimension to a Dale squad that is looking to extend their small town dynasty with a fourth straight Class 2A title.

Meely had one of the best motors and understanding of his role of any player at the camp. He has long arms, which allowed him to live on the offensive glass and also swat a fair share of shots. If the lanky forward is still growing, there’s a lot of untapped upside for him to turn into an impact rim protector on defense and an above the rim finisher on offense. Dale is fresh off three straight 2A titles and return 5 contributors from that squad, Meely could be the next man up to help them extend their run.

did a great job of raising his stock at The Expo thanks to his presence in the interior as well as his defensive versatility. He is an impressive vertical and lateral athlete and this could be seen by how switchable he was on the defensive end, where he was able to guard ones through fives. He has great patience on the offensive end and rarely forced actions. While he threw down a number of dunks and blocked shots with ease, Meely was truly felt while running two-man actions where he found easy lanes to the rim for himself as well as hitting movement shooters who were running to their spots.
