Sage was the dominant force in Weatherford’s win. With 13 points in the first half and 11 more in then third to close out the third. His 11 in the third were of the showtime variety. Smooth triples and powerful dunks. One of the most complete players in Oklahoma. The Drake commit has been a monster this season and is one step closer to the State Title.

The long armed senior had a ridiculous finish through traffic during a third quarter that saw Weatherford fully break the game wide open. Great agility and body control for his size on drives, plus his long arms allow to make tough finishes at the rim. Even with other creators on the team, Sage still appears to be the lynchpin of getting his teammates involved. From half court sets that rely on his accurate passing, to grabbing boards and quickly making passes to teammates. Impressive athlete, but also does a lot of little things to make the Eagles soar.

Sage brings a mixture of savvy, intensity and next level athleticism to Weatherford. He’s a timely three point shooter, has a sneaky level of creation ability with the chemistry he has with his brother and Nickson. While also being able to put on his hard hat and fight around the rim. With the versatility he presents with the ability to battle down low on defense and a perimeter, it’s easy to see why he’s picked up new college interest as a mismatch problem. Which was evident when he powered Weatherford in a big time game against Owasso. After back to back silver ball finishes, Sage is on a mission with his high school program. That noticeable competitiveness will only further endear him to college coaches.

The Western Oklahoma standout teams up with his brother Ethan to form a big time scoring duo for one of Oklahoma’s top non shoe sponsored programs. Tate fits well into modern basketball with inside-outside defensive capabilities and a smooth, consistent shooting touch from deep. Along with the pinpoint deep shooting, he’s an athletic and acrobatic finisher around the rim. Which is made possible due to great size, wingspan and lift. Sage and his Rogue ‘ last=”] teammates will also be in Wichita this weekend.

Tate is a player who really gained traction this past high school season with Weatherford and has continued his strong play in this grassroots season. Combining his great size with guard skills and a consistent three-point shot, Tate has a lot of promise as a prospect. Being able to dribble, pass, and shoot while standing 6’7″ is a combination that several colleges have already shown interest in. One of the more underrated skills of Tate has to be his ability to stay active off-ball. He does a great job of finding open spots along the perimeter as well as cutting to the rim.

Sage has always been a fun prospect because of his size and shooting ability combination. Against Blanchard, he showed that he’s continue to develop as a creator. While the team as a whole moves the ball well, Sage was displaying impressive playmaking instincts and chemistry with Nickson. From tossing oops, tight window passes on drives and ball screens situations with Nickson, Sage looked to have taken his ball handling and abilities to the next level.
Weatherford’s size will overwhelm many teams in 4A, but guard play can be so vital come playoff time. The junior wing turning into more of a combo guard to help share the ballhandling responsibilities with Nickson could be a difference maker come the Big House.

The junior forward is really starting to come into his own as an athlete, the way he high points defensive rebounds are a subtle but noticeable trait that hint at how his athletic ability can translate to the next level. He also flashed more athletic upside when he had a huge helpside block. Offensively, like many of his teammates, he never found a rhythm against the stingy defense that Crossings employed.

make up one of the best junior groups in the state, regardless of classification. A common trait among that Weatherford group is their size and versatility. This Sage brother has become a consistent knockdown shooter from the perimeter, while also able to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim when given openings. On defense, he’s a jack of all trades, with the ability to defend on the perimeter while also being willing to get his nose dirty on the class. He’s
