Wallace struggled a bit in the first half, but stepped up with huge plays in the second half. He continues to be streaky from distance, but buried a couple from deep during a second half rally. That shooting helped open up driving lanes for him, where he’s an explosive athlete. The athleticism was also on display with a couple impressive helpside blocks during that second half run for his squad.

An explosive athlete and a bit of a diamond in the rough, Wallace is a native of the Bahamas. He has outstanding end to end speed with the ball in his hands, and even can get hot from beyond the arc. As Wallace continues to gains reps in structure, the upside is there for him to have one of the better collegiate careers of any prospect in this class.

The explosive guard has the burst to get downhill in the halfcourt. Once he gets to the rim, he’s a fearless finisher, capable of acrobatically avoiding contact or finishing through it. Often for “And 1s”. While promising due to his physical gifts and energetic playing style, he’s still finding his footing at some of the skill level aspects of basketball. He’s prone to moments of over-dribbling, which at the high levels of AAU basketball and eventually college, is an issue. Refinement to his decision making and reading of the game is the next step in unlocking his high ceiling.

The scoring of the explosive junior is what kept Community Christian a threat throughout the game. He opened the game with 7 quick points, which included a triple and catching an oop. After that, he operated in the midrange by knocking down long twos against the zone, and even draining tough pull up 3s. Off the bounce, he had one impressive, explosive driving taje in the second half. The Royal finished with a game high 23 points. With his combination of athleticism and shooting, scoring is a key part of Wallace’s game and gives him an intriguing upside.
